I just watched Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle for the first time.

Still don't know what the hell possessed my mother to buy this one.
But you could add it to the guy movies list. It was surprisingly funny.

Yes maybe it's too simplistic to define it like that, but IMO it gives women a hard time, not only for the violence but also for the female character (a total idiot who's severely punished for her idiocy)... I guess Sam Peckinpah never got over the fact he hadn't be able to make a Little Women remake...

Romy
Ha!

I find Straw Dogs to be one of the most disturbing movies. There's so much dread from the first scene where she's walking around town without a bra that by the time she gets raped, I was horrified. It didn't help that Peckinpah shot it in such an ambiguous way that you weren't sure at first whether she was actually into it, which, in turn, made you feel kind of dirty for thinking. I don't know, I just find the term "guy movie," when applied to that sucker, to be disturbing in it's own right; it conjures thoughts of guys sitting around with Budweisers in their hands, eating buffalo wings, and watching graphic acts of rape and violence. Straw Dogs is, psychologically, more of a guy's movie, though, when you take Hoffman and his character into consideration.

That flick gives me the heebie jeebies, Romy.

I completely forgot them, and I have all the movies they're in...I think. I need to add Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Jay & Silent Bob Stirke Back.
Also have to add, Good Will Hunting, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and Changing Lanes.
