Had it not been for Pitt's horrid acting - Seven would have been scarier - but Saw was just horrifying because they showed the actual torture as opposed to Seven, where we pretty much just saw the horrifying end results.

I saw it and liked it. I was totally confused by the ending but after reading some SAW message boards I think I understand it now. I'll definitely want to go see the second one but it probably won't be as good.

I thought the concept was great. The effects were great. But the acting was HORRENDOUS!!! Could the main two characters have seemed more robotic? That Princess Bride guy seriously sniffed but I remember him being not particularly good in Princess Bride either.

There's no way I could ever watch it, either! I can't handle anything and I think it would be among the worst! One of my students told me the whole plot and all the disgusting things that happened in it and my jaw was open the whole time. She actually wasn't scared of it; that really amazed me. I'd be sleeping in the same bed with someone else for months, I'm sure.

My roommate wanted to rent it and I said no, I can't watch that. I do sometimes watch horror flicks but I close my eyes during the bad parts. But certain movies, that I know are particularly disturbing, I avoid completely.

My eyes were closed half the time! I kept squealing & fidgeting, it was horrifying! Mark just kept looking at me & rolling his eyes. Those little scenes with the different types of torture scared me more than anything. Good God. And I think I peed myself at the end.

I LOVE this movie...I had heard that it was ****, but I saw it at the "cheap" theater several months after it came out, and LOVED it.

I have to agree with Daniel, though..the acting is pretty bad. And some of the writing is pretty groan-worthy. Especially some of Adam's lines.

But that ending...wow. When I saw it in the theater, I literally sat there in the seat LAUGHING so hard, because I was so shocked by the ending. I did NOT see it coming...and it was such a perfect ending. I just couldn't believe that they GOT ME.

I've since watched it with some friends several times (different friends each time)...one fell off of her seat (literally), and my boyfriend was holding my hand and squeezing it so hard at points I thought it was going to fall off.

I'm so excited to hear that there is a Saw 2...although the whole reason I LOVED the first one was because of the ending...and I don't think they can pull that off again.

That's how I am, too! I make it through those kinds of things by closing my eyes or just looking at the floor. Some I can't even try, though.
