Agreed. The band is mostly practicing, not Stevie for new material. I would be shocked if the set list would change (minus adding the duets). It is possible though....since she likes to drop songs as the tour continues.

I seriously doubt we will get BaTB this summer. I hope HSML and IAF stay in though. With the shorter set with Don..I am thinking normal staples.

I think it'll be much like the 98' Enchanted tour with a few TISL favorites thrown in for good measure. Definitely not expecting B&TB...not sure after her performance in Vegas that i'd want it either...especially without Lori howling out the backing vocals.

The Enchanted tour was the best set list evah! I wish she'd take more chances like that! As for BATB, due to the overwhelming response it got in Vegas (from the casual fans as well), she'd be a fool not to keep it. It's this year's Beautiful Child!

I hope they do the set well......as in Stevie come out during Don's set for a few songs and Don come out during Stevie's for LandL and The Highwayman (riiiight). I'm sure they will do the duets at the end of both sets, though.

I agree with everything you said. "Beauty & The Beast" doesn't require any extra special instruments, so I think we'll see it out there. I bet they even bring along the candelabra. I hope you are right on all three Henley duets. Those would be terrific. "Reconsider Me" LIVE would be amazing.

ITA. It was the most vocally taxing part of the set, but if she was able to pull it off 4 nights in one week like that, I have every confidence she can do it 2 or 3 nights each week while on tour. I just can't see her dropping it and going back to HAEWAFY as a closer.

Any special instruments could be done on a synth anyway. Scott Plunkett fooled everyone with that sitar on GDW in Vegas! I kept looking at Waddy to see if HE was playing one!

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Waddy does play the sitar, even though he wasn't in Vegas; he's definitely a powerhouse. Scott Plunkett and Taku are also terrific performers. I'm glad Taku is able to be on board. I was looking at information about "Reconsider Me" on line. There's a lot of commonality between Stevie's version and Warren Zevon's version. It would be quite a tribute to play for Warren Zevon, if Stevie's got enough chutzpah to do it.

Warren's Version
(13. RECONSIDER ME (Single Version) [3:25] (Warren Zevon) (G) With/WARREN ZEVON & JAI WINDING: keyboards * ROY BITTAN: piano * BENMONT TENCH: organ * MIKE CAMPBELL: guitar * WADDY WACHTEL: 12-string acoustic guitar * TONY LEVIN: bass * CRAIG KRAMPF: drums * DON HENLEY: harmony vocals )

Stevie's Version
(per Enchanted Box set)
Harmony vocal: Don Henley; Guitar: Waddy Wachtel; Piano: Benmont Tench; Drums: Matt Chamberlain; Synthizer: Steve Goldstein; Bass: Bob Glaub; (is this next one a printing error "Chamberlain:" Patrick Warren. WHAT is a Chamberlain?

I LOVE Reconsider Me and hearing that will make putting upw with Don worthwhile!
I am doubting BaTB because she is supposed to be returning to Vegas...I think it is one of those songs she will use in her set for those shows..to set them apart. Frankly, I don't know if the atmosphere or whatever would be the same if she tried to do it everynight...I doubt it. Plus, without Lori, the song could lag..she REALLY added to the song, IMHO>

I would love to hear Reconsider Me live.

Curious - was the version released on Enchanted actually recorded at that time? Or is it an old track left off another album (with the reference to Jimmy, I assumed he wanted her to put it on RAL? Perhaps WH or BD?) Was it recorded by her & Don in the 80's?

Yeah but if Waddy is the lead guitarist, he can't switch to a sitar during GDW -- it's mostly an electric guitar song. No one's ever played a live sitar for Stevie.

I like Taku, too. He's cool because he actually goes online & mixes with the fans on the Internet. He went on to Usenet a few years ago as "Helen" & talked to us & cleared up some misconceptions & provided some anecdotes. It's so rare to have anyone within the whole FM enclave go online & mix that Taku's practically a lone voice in the wilderness. I don't think Plunkett is anything special: just a standard-fare session player. Bring back Roy Bittan!

That's cool! Every one of those guys has played with Stevie: Jai on the 1986 tour, Roy on a bunch of tours & albums, Benmont likewise, Mike likewise, Waddy likewise, Tony Levin on the '89 album, etc.
