Oh, definitely. No need to worry at all. There is no shortage of food in Vegas - any type, any place, any time. Even the smallest hotels have several nice restaurants & casual food courts.

The cheap buffets can be scary though. You have to be careful.

I thought everyone was going to sit on his lap? Don't forget - he is the concert-stander-hater.

Nope. that was a lie, as far as I can tell.

I would rather do something after. I will want to eat after the show and this way we can talk about the show. I would rather go someplace that has regular types of food because I am fussy. That is my input.

David, I'll drop by for a Hi-ball, preferably just before the concert.

That's what i think, too - it will be way better if we can talk about the show. And I figured, also, a lot of people will feel the same way as you about food.

I know that it is not that exciting but I think that there might be a Denny's near my hotel and the Flamingo. I know that Vegas is open 24 hours but sometimes it is still hard to find a place open for food. I will not be happy at all if I don't get to eat after the show. WARNING!

I will also want to eat after the show. I used to have a really good listing of restaurants in Vegas including prices, hours, cuisine, etc. I will try to locate it.

One place that I wanted to go to last time but didn't fit it in was the buffet at Mirage - it's supposed to be different than the usual (I think you order the food from an enormous selection & they make it right away for you so it's fresh as opposed to sitting out for hours.)

I will start my food research......................................................NOW!

The Spice Market Buffet at the Aladdin, and the Bellagio's lunch buffet are awesome. Spice Market is supposedly rated really high in terms of food/price for Vegas eateries. The Paris Hotel has good French food (I know where to find Marissa...) too, but I think they're a little more expensive.

You think they're a little more expensive? I won't be able to go near Paris on my budget. It is beautiful though.

Actually, it really is hard to judge just by hotel. Delmonico's (Emeril's place) at The Venetian is about $30 per person for dinner, which is not terrible considering it's a nice steak joint with incredible food at a 5 star hotel.

BTW Tiff, there's a cute little Japanese restaurant at Monte Carlo. Didn't eat there, but it looked nice.

Are you serious David? That sounds like something I would have done when I was younger. If you're serious, we're there.

Folks, I haven't been to Vegas since 1976. You might as well say I've never been because I remember very little about that trip. The Travel Channel aired a piece about The Palms (3 hour wait to get into the Ghostbar) last night and I got a quick glimpse of The Strip. It is a lot bigger and longer than I had imagined/remembered it. So I know what everyone's talking about getting around to the different places in a fair amount of time. Good grief. I'd better put a little more thought into what we're going to do while we're there or we're likely to end up spending a lot of time transporting or "Standing in a line."

I am up for whatever everyone decides about after the show on Tuesday. I'll keep checking back here to see what is decided. I'm not particular about what kind of food or how much it costs. The place at Caesar's sounds nice and convenient. Any chance it might be really crowded after the show or does it matter to anyone? Anyplace convenient to the venue would be best.

YAY! heehee

Laura

Lol, sorry... the one time I was there it was someone else's treat and he made us order without looking at prices, so I don't know what the avg. meal costs. French food though, so I can imagine. Japanese, eh? I think I can safely say that is one type of food I have never tried. Maybe we should check it out!
