I prefer Shanghair Surprise.

Elaine May is one of my idols and I just knew deep down that it couldn't be anything like people were saying it was. And then I saw it. I cried hard. Thank the stars she rebounded amazingly, I was scared for awhile.

I don't think so, but I only saw it once. That was enough!

She was in Clue: The Movie, one of my favorites.

Ok, I've only seen the Simone Simon catpeople. But - Ishtar is sooooo not as bad as a lot of other movies, Dammit!!!! Do you really think it is the worst movie ever, considering all the crap that has come out since? C'mon, you can't say it's worse than...uh....Diabolique? JK...I think most Adam Sandler movies are worse than Ishtar, and there are many more that i haven't seen or can't think of right now that are worse.

Knowing what Elaine May is capable of, Ishtar is a flaming piece of rotten offle. She can do no wrong in my eyes, but that movie is a smelly stain on her resume.

No, indeed, you do not have to tell me about the badness of Sliver.

So are you saying, more, that compared to her own works it is putrid, but that it may be better than a lot of other things, anyway? 'Cause i think it is. But it always struck me that La Isabelle should not be in comedies, either way. She's just too seriously emotional. I feel her pain, as a Cancer, too. although I was voted "wild and witty" for Highschool, I wasn't very good at comedies in my drama class...sometimes, but not usually. Apropos of nothing. I don't think Meryl is very good at comedies, either.

- that movie is good. It also reminds me that perhaps "The Money Pit" is a guilty pleasure, I love that movie. Oh, and two other guilty pleasure Shelley Long movies - Irreconcilable Differences, and...the one with Corben Bernsen where she dies, and can see him live his life? forgot the name.
