Well I'm a football fan, but mainly look forward to the super bowl commercials, which SUCKED this year. This is the first year I wasn't laughing at nearly every freaking commercial. I thought the airplane beer commercial was hilarious and so was all the NFL players singing tommorow cause they missed the super bowl. And I loved the hot girl in congress thing. But that's THREE good commercials out of HOW many. But this was the first year I was actually anticipating the halftime show as well (last year I was getting food when the FAMOUS MALFUNCTION occured) but i was actually looking forward to PM. Plus I won 100 bucks on a pool and the Patriots won making me happy. Sorry to rain on your anti- football thread

but are you high? j/k

That was the BEST halftime show that I have seen in years...Alot more talent than some "fluff talent" such as Ass-lee Simply-tarded or the like when they warble their no talent songs at a crowd who would rather play "pin the tail on the donkey" in a minefield then applaud for these "never was's" that the corporates think most enjoy.

The Puppy Bowl was the best thing on TV since Milton Berle. And, for those "in the know", you could've watched the Puppy Bowl without missing a minute of the game. The first showing was 3 hrs before game time. They showed it four times in a row (noon pacific time all the way til midnight).

It better be an annual event!!!

A pox on those who diss Sir Paul's halftime show. Even my beautiful wife (a devout post-Beatles McCartney hater) thought it was "cool".

I left the room for his show because I don't like him since he started charging a fortune for his concert tickets. I was enjoying some delicous food and conversation instead.

YEAH PATS, WOO HOOOOOO!!!

I gotta check out this puppy bowl stuff. I love animals so much and it sounds so cute!

Weak argument.

And, the Eagles & Fleetwood Mac don't? Actually, who DOESN'T charge a fortune for their concert tickets??

I would pay any amount of money to see Macca (if I had any amount of money )

Seriously - concert tickets are crazy expensive anyway....

Sadly my hatred for football outweighed my love of Paul

I boycott the Super Bowl every year -all of it - so I didn't compromise - not even for Macca....I was actually very saddened that he played the Super Bowl to begin with...

Paul McCartney-Oct.15,2002-Oklahoma City, OK-The Ford Center (2 tickets at $67.25 each next to the stage, Bought the day the tickets for the show went onsale.)

Fleetwood Mac-July 1,2003-Oklahoma City, OK-The Ford Center (1 ticket at $125.00 15 rows from the stage, the ticket overall was close to $140 after ticket fees.)

I think I know who may have been charging too much for tickets (Just think Sir Paul is doing another US tour this fall )

They don't sing "I don't care to much for money!" I just don't like him, what do you care? Anyway, he charges double what FM and Eagles charge.

Edit: I thought his tickets were $250 as opposed to FMs $125 (in this area). Seems like that might not be right. I dunno.

Oh interesting, sounds as though I am mistaken over what he charges!

I used to hate it and now I like it. I never thought I would. I used to work in a team room and the guys would talk about sports every day. I found myself interested, almost by osmosis. Also, I learned that people who follow sports live longer and are healthier, which is probably because of the social aspect and it keeps your mind occupied. Yes, it's vapid and the importance of football is overinflated (understatement). But it sure is fun.

Yeah - the guys here at work talk sports a lot....

And the reason for my football hatred is dumb - and I know that - and I know the root of my football hatred....yet it just doesn't change...perhaps one day I will be able to separate football in my mind from what I currently associate it with....but for now - I can't stand it....I even have a standard that is - I won't date a football obsessed guy

Um, oh yeah. I guess that I am biased about FM and I am just being stubborn about PM.
