I have not met THAT many people and the ones I have met have been ususally in a social setting that seems to warrant civility.

You can be short and not too swift, either. I fell flat on my face going down the stairs to the underground when I was in London. I thought, "Yep, I'm representing America well!"

I was projected to be 5'6" at age two. So much for scientific prediction. Although if I would have been taller, I'd probably have much more trouble...I have scoliosis.

yeah - I don't know what happend - everyone else in my family is tall - except for my mom - guess my sister and I have her to thank for our short plumpness

I remember being tested in middle school for scoliosis...but have never actually known what it is...

And yeah - I'm not so swift either - I went to the symphony a couple of weeks ago - and was wearing some high heeled boots - with a lovely dress...well the bathroom was down a flight of stairs - so I happily went downstairs - but one boot got caught on the stair carpet...i totally fell down the stairs...it was really embarassing..

My mom is only 5'1", so I know I take after her.

Scoliosis is the curvature of the spine....mine has a slight "S" shape. In more severe cases, you have to wear a back brace or have surgery. Since mine was mild, and because I'm short and had stopped growing by the time I was diagnosed, I really don't have to do anything.

Oh man that must have really sucked. My roommate fell down a flight of stairs in her bridesmaid dress, the hazards of fashion...
