He's challenging 34 states and Bush obviously did not win 34 states. He is challenging places where he suspects voter fraud, and if even if that meant Bush states, so be it. The day we have a national reo****, Jason, is the day monkeys fly out of my ass, pick me up, and escort me into Oz. I mean, c'mon.

Well, I have seen worse come out of there

Seriously, I took your comment literally AND - I was not talking about a national recount. I was just saying Nader should investigate all places, not just the places W won, which your statement "He's challenging the states that Bush won" lead me to believe. I am glad you were in error and Nader is, once again, doing the right thing and more power to him

Also, a national recount would be next to impossible because the Const. allows each state to indicate how it will choose and send its Electoral College members. The states have to act within Federal voting laws, but other than that, there does not have to be even a uniform process within the same state. Thus, a national recount would be impossible or at least logistically impossible - but in theory it could I guess be done if each state's recount laws were satisfied

In any event, I am glad Nader is doing this becuase I think it will help in the future.

He is. He filed in New Hamshire today. Kerry won New Hampshire.

He is, 34 states. That means he's not just challenging states Bush won, but states that Kerry won. The numbers simply don't add up with many of these states.

I know that - I was just sommenting on Diss' statement. I thought by saying "He's challenging the states that Bush won" he was implying only those states should be investigated. He said, I think, he did not mean that. So . . .

BTW - if anyone is interested, here is a site containing Federal Election Law http://news.findlaw.com/legalnews/li...2004/laws.html

but thanks to those "oh so great" Bush tax cuts for the middle class families (They never said that it only helps those with children...Not those like us who have NO children) we are usually broke after paying the bills/groceries/etc.

Btw, The first stupid ass $400 refund we received in Aug 2001 for this dumb ass tax cut paid for only one thing of interest, Which I will always remember:

Seeing Stevie Nicks live in Dallas!

What you need to know about the people who own the comapny that made the voting machines:

http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0225-05.htm

"Increasingly, investigative writers seeking an explanation have looked to Diebold’s history for clues. The electronic voting industry is dominated by only a few corporations – Diebold, Election Systems & Software (ES&S) and Sequoia. Diebold and ES&S combined count an estimated 80% of U.S. black box electronic votes.

In the early 1980s, brothers Bob and Todd Urosevich founded ES&S’s originator, Data Mark. The brothers Urosevich obtained financing from the far-Right Ahmanson family in 1984, which purchased a 68% ownership stake, according to the Omaha World Herald. After brothers William and Robert Ahmanson infused Data Mark with new capital, the name was changed to American Information Systems (AIS). California newspapers have long documented the Ahmanson family’s ties to right-wing evangelical Christian and Republican circles.

In 2001, the Los Angeles Times reported, “. . . primarily funded by evangelical Christians – particularly the wealthy Ahmanson family of Irvine – the institute’s $1-million annual program has produced 25 books, a stream of conferences and more than 100 fellowships for doctoral and postdoctoral research.” The chief philanthropists of the Discovery Institute, that pushes creationist science and education in California, are Howard and Roberta Ahmanson.

According to Group Watch, in the 1980s Howard F. Ahmanson, Jr. was a member of the highly secretive far-Right Council for National Policy, an organization that included Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, Major General John K. Singlaub and other Iran-Contra scandal notables, as well as former Klan members like Richard Shoff. Ahmanson, heir to a savings and loan fortune, is little reported on in the mainstream U.S. press. But, English papers like The Independent are a bit more forthcoming on Ahmanson’s politics."

All's well that ends well! Maybe you'll remember the Dallas concert long after you've forgotten about the tax cuts! I like your signature, by the way.

is that those dumb ass tax cuts only help if your family has more than 3 children...

If a family has 1 or 2 children and it doesnt help whatsoever. If ya have zero children, ya see the tax break helping the same way as receiving a rectal exam from a proctoligist with a depth perception problem.

As for healthcare...If Deb didnt have health insurance she would have died by now, This country not having health care coverage for ALL citizens is a sick joke. I have coverage being that I am a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, Which covers a majority of things, But not major illnesses such as cancer which Deb suffered from. Her insurance has covered 100% of the well over $450,000 it has taken to get the cancer into remission thru treatments such as Chemo/Radiation.

We felt bad when talking to the American Cancer Society last year when Deb first started her Chemo and she went to seek info about how the ACS could help (Financial information from Cancer charities & headgear/caps/scarfs/wigs for those who may lose their hair which didnt help Deb much since she hardly lost any of her hair)...They couldnt provide any monetary support (They had no more money to help any new clients) for anyone due to "budget cuts", But they told Deb "You're lucky your insurance covers your treatments...Most of the people we see, cannot get ANY insurance coverage or financial help to offset the medical bills". That made us feel bad...And yet extremely sad.

Will this country ever have medical coverage for all? Sadly I dont think it will happen anytime soon.

I'm very glad that Deb is still with us. Dealing with medical issues is very stressful, and yes, I understand how much better I have it than most others. Health care for everyone in the US is imperative. I hope that neither you nor your loved ones will have to deal with health problems for a long time...You've had a lifetime's worth already. Hang in there, Brian J.
