I just read on another board that NBC edited out the fiasco. I hope the person who typed it was simply high and missed it, because you guys HAVE to see it!!!

But, the whole affair just hit the Drudge Report and Howard Stern's website, so it's not going to simply go away.

DeadliestPoiston, is the apology you posted the bit from the end of SNL where she blames her band, or a new clip where Ashlee fesses up for real? I'm on an old PC and can't play it, but I'm DYING to know...

I haven't downloaded them because they're .avis and I don't have the codec downloaded on this computer, but I'd imagine it's the apology that aired in the episode.

HILARIOUS! I agree about the lip-syncing and immaturity she displayed. If something like that happened to Bush it would be divine.

Thank you, Lux, for bringing that point up. I would never have thought that lip syncing would be at the production's request. It is very unfortunate that Chris Isaak had to lip sync on that occasion. He is a naturally talented, pure musician.

(Chris Isaak just happens to be one of my favorite musicians, and despite the fact that I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I've never seen him live; I'd jump at the chance. I believe that, in his case, he would do anything in his power to not lip sync a performance.)

Looks like she was "Milli-Vanillied". Her running off stage made me think of the performance where they were caught lip synching and their grammy was taken away!

I would love to know where she learned those embarrassing dance moves

This was the funniest SNLs in a long while!!!! The whole VP's Lesbian Daughter sketch had me rolling! And that Paris Hilton bit, ROTFL!?!

Ashlee took the cake! How awesome was that?!?! I wish it would happen to Britney.

Oh my! I just watched the video clip and I almost feel bad for her. I feel worse for me because I actually purchased her record this summer! I wonder what Stevie would say if she saw this. What I want to know is, why did she need to lip sync? Her vocals on the record are gritty and flawed and I would hope she could at least carry a tune and be able to do such an easy song that didn't exactly require much vocal ability. This was sort of cringe-worthy and I feel bad for her. If more people find out this could really damage the career of someone who seemed grittier then say Britney Spears!

This SNL was pretty funny, but I couldn't believe she blamed her band! And for shame on SNL to allow lip-synching musical guests. I thought all musical performances were supposed to be "live".

I hope her career is over with. She annoys the hell out of me! And that song is terrible. Ughhh... One Simpson down. One more to go. LOL, JK. At least jessica can sing....... i think....
