Apparently, she sang that a bunch of times that year. Somebody once said it was related to the fight with Mick, but that fight didn't start until the following year.
I was under the impression that this line was directly aimed at Mick - wasn't she starting to put Timespace together around 1990 for its release in 1991? They may have started fighting about it already by the BTM tour.

Actually one of my favorites is from the "Solid Gold" performance of Stand Back, during the last stanza she sings "One man said he could not stay/And I said well, darlin' goodbye/well GO AWAY!"

I've never heard her sing it that way any other time...

Yeah, that's a great one - NO way she'd ever be able to replicate that one!

Paula

Do we have a date on this possibly? Very curious to see how it coincides with other 'important' dates from that year.
Could be very revealing....

Let me listen to the Bonner Springs show and see if that's it.

Also from the Homdel NJ show 8/1/94 from Rhiannon:

All your life
You've never seen
A woman
Taken by the sky
Ohh but Rhiannon you say
then she's gone
and your life asks you why
your life...(unintelligible)

Before the song had been dropped this year, she screamed GO AHEAD AND TRY!! in Atlanta and back in December at the last London show, she looked at Lindsey and yelled "TRY! TRY! TRY! TRY!" I used to have a little snippet of that from a friends digicam. Very intense

It's not Bonner Springs. A Day In The Garden maybe? That was a pretty impassioned performance.

WOW indeed... and she's absolutely right of course!
Another lyrics change I love is the end of Beautiful Child: "I do love you, I still need you, I wish that you were mine". Just magic.
