Yeah, the Governator didn't help it either. That movie made no sense. Even Uma Thurman couldn't save it. I hope this new guys does a decent job. Nobody will top Keaton though. Batman and Batman Returns are the only good Batman movies made so far. The others blew chunks, unfortunatly.

Keaton was the best Batman ever!

I think he's an awesome actor, and I love all his movies like Multiplicity and Mr Mom or whatever it was called.

Agreed....ugh..Ahnold was awful...I only remember the "chill out" line....that pretty much made me want to vomit and leave the theater...an hour and a half of my life that I'll never get back....that's how I view that cinematic experience....and I'm not a big fan..or even a small fan..of Uma...so yeah..that movie was pretty much doomed for me from the beginning...but I just felt like I was watching Dr. Ross in a batman costume the whole time...as lovely as George Clooney may be that was not his best acting job...

Michael Keaton is Batman, but I didn't mind George Clooney. Val Kilmer was okay, but I didn't care for the movie. I hated Jim Carrey as the Riddler. I think I'm the only one who liked Batman & Robin. I thought Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy were cool.

That film was hysterical, girlfriend. Great movie.

I'm a fan of his, so I'll go see the new Batman flick. Loved him in almost everything he's been in, especially Empire of the Sun. That movie is greatness.

Default 1 & 3

My favorite Batmans were the first and the third. And I didn't care for the batmas but for the bad guys. The Joker and th Riddler were the best! Followed by Catwoman of course.

Poison Ivy was cool but the movie was too.. overloaded. It was more like a cartoon. Yeas, they missed what TIm Burton tried to transmit in the first two.

And though Tim Burton didn't directed it, I liked the third one.

Christian Bale, I loved him in Little Women. BUT he is totally not this tough guy. To me, he is sensitive and quiet.

But I suppose he's shown his other side. I am curious, very curious.

As for Keaton, I never saw that movie ( gasp!) but I hear from everyone he was the best. I always just opted for the tv show as a kid.

Adam West!!! Bring HIM back LOL.

OH Janet...! You've got to see Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992). Keaton put the bat on the ball with that role. *No pun intended!* I think he really set what the role was supposed to be like. Good to see all the Keaton supporters out there!

I failed to mention that I actually met Michael Keaton back in 1997, in Los Angeles, while living with my dad. He signed a Batman poster for me and said "I love signing the Batman stuff." I asked him if he would ever play Batman again, and he said it was an "upcoming possibility." At that time they were talking about doing a Superman movie, with a Batman cameo or something. Too bad that fell thru...!

Sure he didn't really "look" the part of Bruce Wayne, but it didn't matter...he was believable. I think the first two Batman's were the best, and even though that had Tim Burton's stamp all over them, they still stand up as "definitive Batman."

I would die to see Keaton come back and re-do an aging Batman. They could adapt the script from Frank Miller's "Dark Knight Returns" for all you graphic novel aficionados out there.
I LOVE Christian Bale so you'll hear no complaint from me. I'll be interested to see this one. The last one was a flop imo (Val Kilmer right?) Ugh.

Good grief. I'm talking about boobs. This is when you know you've been awake for too many hours.
Or this is when you know you're a guy.

And honest, I preferred Kilmer to Keaton, though his movie sucked.

Kilmer was okay (I have a friend who did costumes on that one with stories that would curl Dissention's hair). Clooney was fine. But I have a weakness for Clooney. A few of them.
Bale is gonna be good, I think. There is something kind of brooding and off about him, and I think that'll be interesting. Plus, the dude is sexy as all get out, IMO. In kind of a frat boy gone bad kinda way...
I think the brooding quality fits Bruce Wayne well.
And I'm afraid to ask, but what kind of Kilmer stories? He seems like a nice guy when I see him interviewed.

The nipples. I remember hearing about that more than anything? Who had the nipples again? Wasn't there talk about Batman's nipples?

I should see the movies, especially the first one. God knows where I was summer of 89 but I didn't see any of those big movies.

Someday, when I have kids, I will put Batman right up there with Superman ( my true favorite!!!!!!)

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was the only thing I liked him in. And I understand that wasn't makeup.

Wait, wait...um, did you notice Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman in the second one? Not to mention Christopher Walken was in it, and Danny DeVito?
Also - No to Christian Bale, he's waaaay to pointy rat face.
Also -Anyone seen commercials for Catwoman? It looks kinda bad...the outfit is good, but an outfit can only take you so far...
