Warm Ways is definitely one of my favorite Christine songs. It just has this feel to it. I always think of the ocean and the beach when I hear it.. lol.

Warm Ways is pretty, but doesn't have anything else going for it. It's not one of my faves.
I think Chris did some of her best stuff from '87-'95, personally.

I love Warm Ways. I think Over My Head World Turning and say You Love Me are all better Chris songs from that album but that just tells you how freaking great the white album was for all 3 songwriters. I love how Warm Ways is sandwhiched betwween those 2 great rocking Lindsey songs. It goes Monday Morning, Warm Ways, Blue Letter.

My Special Memories About Warm Ways
It was my second trip to the US.
1988 One of the first things I immediately bought was the tape with Rumours & White Album in one cassette, you may remember. We were in NJ with my cousins, and they invited us to DC. We departed early in the morning so I drove almost all the road while they were all sleeping. I don't remember if it was the NJ Turnpike or the Parkway, but it was a beautiful road and I was listening that tape the whole trip And specially when I listen WARM WAYS, I remember me driving to DC. It was a great trip, and a beautiful moment. That song rocks. Again.. I miss Christine in the band.

I'm kind of split on "Warm Ways". For me it's pretty close to that inoffensive soft-rock housewife muzak that I had been led into believing was all the Rumours line-up did. You know, the Santa Barbara stuff. I also think "Everywhere" and "Mystified" (which does have significant LB involvement) go along the same lines. Curiously enough I prefer the occasionally disliked "Only Over You" to all of these even though I could put it into the same category.
But when my appreciation for Chris grew I learned to like all of those. Some fanboy benefits I received there.
