It includes Puppet, er, Powell. He's every bit the politician as Shrub.

Factually, it is incorrect. I believe he strongly advised W to put more troops in Iraq in the beginning.

But he didn't come out and say publicly that he wanted more troops because they were needed. I don't give a **** what his weasel ass said to Shrub privately; they are not Shrub's troops. When more human lives are going to be sent to death, let the American people know that you want them to be sent. Don't hide behind bureaucracy and express your thoughts privately. This is par tof the reason I'm so pissed off: the secrecy of this administration. And I've heard Powell say numerous times int he media that he thins there are enough troops, so he's telling us what we want to hear when he deems fit.

Also, I do not get "Also, is anyone else slightly freaked out that our domestic military force is a bit thin right now? " - Explain (please)
Why is a large percentage of the National Guard in Iraq? Who's watching out for us here?

Angry

I am reading reports that in Fallujah yesterday the US forces were letting women, children and elderly leave the city but making the men stay behind as we prepared to attack.

Yeah, but many of the women, children, and elderly didn't get out and were killed along with the men.
