Hmm, do you think that was a diss? His exact words were "I guess they believe the computers" and I wasn't sure at the time, but now that I think about it, it does sound like one! Unless Mick really IS fudging about his age. Then, it was an acknowledgement that with computers he can't fool anyone anymore!

Leave it to you to remember the exact words from last night. I still have a buzz in my left ear. Nancy did you get any sleep? I got about 3 hours.I wonder if he is trying to fool everybody? Darlene

I have seen in print his birth years as both 1947 and 1942. I think Mick is definitely like some vain starlet who lies about their age. He looks like the oldest member in Mac. I want to say Mick is as old as dirt

What makes him seem older?

I mean...you've got to remember all those drug years. I can see him being 56...it's not such a far loop.

That's what I'm thinking. He was an alcoholic and god knows what else right up till about 1992 or so when he met Lynne. (sp?) Also, if he had a full head of hair, and Christine didn't, that would make a difference! (shudder)
I think Stevie's an exception - when you're that naturally attractive you just age better. Lindsey has only started to show his age more recently - around the Dance/GOS time he looked considerably younger!

Just to add my 0.02... my mother saw them back in the late sixties here in England, and she thinks that Mick quite probably is only 56. She was only fifteen at the time she snuck into the club to see them, and remembers him being in his early twenties at the time.

It really shocked her to see them again this month; she wouldn't shut up about how old Mick is looking... I think it made her feel her age.

Laura.
