There's a discussion in the thread on easytree about this... It's apparently Wallingford... but there are a few versions of Wallingford floating around. Some are missing this first track. Someone said there are three seperate versions labelled Wallingford, with different dates... So who knows...lol

And I should add... It's apparently different then "Who's The New Girl". I haven't downloaded it... well I did once already, and listened to a few tracks, but there was an error on track #5, so I'll have to give it another go and download again.... After Buffalo. But it sounded different then what I have as "Who's The New Girl".

Yea thats what I am saying! LOL at 1 point out of 40GB I had only 4.1GB left.. I had to start making CD's like mad! LOL

Yes, it was questionable behavior to go against the expressed wishes of the sharer. However, as I downloaded the "Who's the New Girl" show off of EZtree today, I noticed that user also posted that he did not want the show converted to MP3. If I were David, I would lay off posting bittorrent tracks that request the downloader not to post them as MP3, just to be considerate to the sharer. However, I can't universally condemn him when he's not trying to pass the songs off as higher quality material, just allowing people who don't care about such things access to the show.

If all you're worried about is the quality of shows, make sure you trade with people who meet those standards. Leave the MP3 downloaders alone. JMHO.

All good points, Nancy. I agree about the older shows already circulating as mp3s. Who cares? Sioux City was different. It had only been shared as a cd from uncompressed audio. The torrent trader's wishes were not only ignored by David, he also said in his posts that he doesn't care about anything the torrent traders request regarding shows they share. I think that's insulting and I don't blame anyone for not sharing if people want to put up every show they can get their hands on for download at mp3 websites.

I don't think mp3 is a bad format for my personal use. The torrent traders and people who buy expensive equipment to tape shows don't like it. They won't share as many new shows if they see everything going straight to mp3 websites. We're lucky to have a few people on this board who know enough about torrents to seed shows for us. We don't always have to depend on purists at the torrent sites to get out new shows. The failure to honor the no mp3 requests just makes it harder to get more good stuff from the tapers who won't want to share if they know shows will be going straight to mp3 downloads as soon as they're shared on the torrents.

I hope I can let this debate die now with this post! I am not going to post anymore bootlegs of which has the label "Don't convert to mp3" anymore! But I will post the rest of this bootleg just to be respectless to a person which doesn't deserve respect! This is what Melanie has written on the EZBoard about me:

"Thanks for the show. I understand the info file note for no mp3 conversion. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. I upped a show recently and it was on an mp3 download sites the next day. My info note didn't mean crap. I'm not upping any more shows while this guy is out there trashing what we try to make good. He comes here to grab and go. His share ratio is lousy. She refused to trade the CD, because she knew that we would like to have the demo (not me that much, but a lot of other users even here)

David you're making a lot of mistatements in your post including the part about the My Heart song being held by the same person as the Sioux City show. The people who got the got the Sioux City show out are guys not girls. The My Heart song was a different person. I had that show before it was on the torrent and I agreed not to convert it or trade it as mp3. I could have done that a bunch of times. I kept my promise not to convert it and so did everybody else who got this show before you. I'm glad you changed your mind about not offering the new torrent shows for mp3 download. A bunch of us on this board want to get more shows on the torrent site. There was a thread about starting a Fleetwood Mac torrent site. Maybe you'd like to help out? We all want to share. It's all good.

I am trying to download five torrents, but all of them are "queued." Is this normal? Shouldn't I at least have one downloading? The torrents are:

Stevie Nicks US Festival
Cloaks and Daggers
Sioux City 2003
Buffalo 2003
Salt Lake City 1987.

Should I be concerned?

Note: The other torrents that I have already downloading are uploading just fine.

Check your settings, you could be set to download a maximum amount. Like for instance.. I have my bitcomet set at 10 download/uploads. So if you have too many going at once, they will end up in your queue until a slot is available.

I set my number of downloads to unlimited and still nothing (it was at 2 - but since 0 were downloading, I don't think that was the problem anyway). Unless you're talking about another setting?

Maybe I should re-install.

Edit: Reinstallation fixed the problem. Too bad I wasted a day of downloading trying to solve it by other means!
