Default Artemis II goes today (I hope) to the Moon

Fleetwood Mac was mentioned in a tv morning news.

So the Artemis II will launch today, if there are no unforeseen circumstances, to the moon. I saw two local news guys talking about this and previous space missions, and one of them talked about Voyager and the golden disc it carried in 1977. They were talking about the (pop/rock) songs from around the world included on the disc, among other classic and folk music. US chose Johnny B Goode, UK didn't chose any pop song but just symphonic, cultural music. So one of them was asking why didn't they choose a Beatles song, or the Stones, or from some other very popular band from the 20th century? And the other one replied Or why didn't they chose any of the popular bands in 1977. The Bee Gees, Fleetwood Mac, ABBA or the Eagles.

That made me think what Mac song (from albums by 1977) would be appropiate to share in the space? Don't Stop? Songbird? World Turning? I guess not GYOW, it could be misunderstood by the aliens.

Was watching the Pittsburgh Penguins game earlier and during one of the breaks in action, Edge Of Seventeen was played in the stadium.

Good lort, so have y'all seen the "then and now" AI stuff on TV shows, on the Facebooks? I hope this link works, but it's just ridiculous.

I watch the TV show ones all the time, I think just because I like seeing who's still alive, and who's not.

I was actually just shocked to see one on FM.

BTW-AI is still fukcing stupid.

A local radio's Facebook posted about the (this week) anniversary of the Tango album release, describing how cool album it was and that it included major hits such as “Big Love”, “Little Lies”, “Everywhere” and “Mystified”. Mystified? I never heard it on the radio, and it wasn't a single here (I guess not even in other countries). But what a nice surprise, it was really unexpected they mentioned Mystified, a song that wasn't popular, very little known around here. The guy who posted must be a fan.

A new Record Store Day release. I didn't think it deserved it's own post.

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/20225

The all-star indie rock tribute to the legendary music of Fleetwood Mac is making its vinyl debut! The album features bands and artists such as HAIM, MGMT, Tame Impala put their signature sound to Fleetwood Mac classics of all eras of the band, including “Dreams,” “Rhiannon,” “Landslide,” and more. This limited edition 2-LP set has been pressed on translucent sea blue vinyl exclusively for Record Store Day.

Tracklist
"SIDE A:
1. Albatross – Lee Ranaldo Band featuring J Mascis
2. Landslide – Antony
3. Before The Beginning – Trixie Whitley
4. Oh Well – Billy Gibbons & Co.
5. Rhiannon – Best Coast
SIDE B:
6. Think About Me – The New Pornographers
7. Angel – Marianne Faithfull
8. Silver Springs – Lykke Li
9. Gold Dust Woman – Karen Elson
10. Storms – Matt Sweeney and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy
SIDE C:
11. Straight Back – Washed Out
12. That’s All For Everyone – Tame Impala
13. Sisters Of The Moon – Craig Wedren with St. Vincent
14. Dreams – The Kills
15. Gypsy – Gardens & Villa
SIDE D:
16. Tusk – The Crystal Ark
17. Future Games – MGMT
18. Hold Me – HAIM
19. The Green Manalishi – The Entrance Band"

*looks like it actually came out in 2012 but is new on VINYL. Record Store Day has become so lame.
