Well, I could sort of see that in that RC dirties up pretty good. The problem with Crowe IMO would be he would look too much older than the rest. But, i could have seen it. Actually, Stewart Townsend (sp.?) had the roll but had to back out

I actually like quite a few of his movies. Risky Business, Legend, A Few Good Men, Collateral, Magnolia, etc. I'm just not a fan of his acting, if that makes any sense.

But at a mere 5'7", the man needs to wear stilts!!

I thought they just tossed Stewart Townsend because he was "working out in the role". I think he looked too young to play Aragorn. He's supposed to be 80+ during the war of the ring. I know he has the blood of Numenor and all, but still....

I agree - ST looks too young and he is too pretty for the roll, esp. when Legolas is the clean and pretty elf and Aragorn is the dirty human.
