*phew* okay - I was totally lost there until you said it was Gilmore Girls rant lol...I was like...um...none of this sounds familiar to DH

Yeah, they filmed the pilot with her but ended up doing the show with Brenda Strong instead. I don't really like her- her annoying voiceovers at the end are actually the thing I dislike most about DH.
Huh - I didn't realize the pilot and the woman on now are different Mary Alice's - but I think I missed most of the pilot so I am aslo starting to be a big bugged by the voice-overs at the end....I really didn't like last night's actually

And yeah - there was a lot of hype surrounding it - but bottom line is: it's a prime-time soap. I just happen to find it entertaining

I do still enjoy it, but I do have to agree with everyone else, it is getting more & more predictable as time goes on.

Now Gilmore Girls - there's a show!

You said it, yo. Deanna- I really think you would love GG if you ever gave it a chance. Rent the first season. You will SO not be disappointed. Or, for that matter- I think ABC Family's starting to air three episodes a night every Saturday night, starting from the beginning and in order. Watch it. Dammit.

The pilot filmed w/ Sheryl Lee was never actually aired- they just replaced her scenes with Brenda Strong's. Maybe when they do the DVDs they'll show them.

I totally think I'd be into Gilmore Girls - my sister LOVES it - a good friend of mine is obsessed and we generally have very similar tastes....but this no cable thing totally sucks....I will try and rent it sometime though I have heard great things about it

We should just start our own GG thread and post on it whether anyone else watches it or not. It'll be our super special club that no one else is cool enough to get in on

UGH! I won't be a part of it. When I go to my parent's house, that is all that is on. My mom watches it 24/7. That Rory girl? She can't act her way out of a paper bag.

I hate Rory. But she's so pretty that I stare at her and tend not to care.

All my mom and I do when I go home to visit is watch GG, whether it's the DVDs or the holiday marathons they inevitably have on ABC Family. My dad gets so pissed because whenever he walks in the room we're giggling with it on. We literally hole up in a bedroom laying down watching it. We eat meals in the room. We covered an entire season in a day and a half over Christmas.

Haa! GG derailed this thread. Take that, boring housewives.

How many season has GG been on now? I can't believe I've never seen a complete episode - I have seen bits of eps when my sister was into it - and I've always wanted to watch it - but I'm also a bit reluctant to get hooked on yet another tv show....I already don't have a life - adding another show may completely kill any social life I may be starting to have here

I don't find Rory pretty - but I Think Lauren Graham (she's Lorelei right?) is very pretty

The current season is the fifth. Seasons 1 & 2 are out on DVD, Season 3's coming in May. Lauren Graham is hot! If I didn't have a crush on her already, Bad Santa did it for me.

Anyhow- let me know if you ever decide to delve into Stars Hollow. You'll love it.

It's on right now, don't know if re-run, but I haven't seen it!
