I was watching again Selena The Series, and since my short term memory is not as good as in the past (though since I commented this in 2021, now I realize my medium term memory is affected, too), listening Gypsy in S2E1 was unexpected again.

I heard Rhiannon blasting from someone's car at Kroger at 7am this morning.
Think about this... this song is 48 years old! People blasting 48yo music. Do you think people were blasting music from 1927 in 1975, when Rhiannon was recorded?

To me, the 1970's was the greatest decade of music in history. I'd actually say 1975-1985.

I was in Palm Springs and heard someone blasting GYOW! And it was just after 12 noon.

In Cornwall UK. Heard Edge of Seventeen, followed by YMLF. The effect was powerful. The Stevie song always gets me in a place of angst and inner turmoil. But then hearing Christine croon those held notes immediately after was not only soothing but oddly spiritual. There was a depth there that sent shivers along my arms. Not to detract from Stevie’s obvious power, but Christine’s voice, especially on that song, was stunning.

I just got back from driving across the country. I listened to lots of Yacht rock. Here are the deep tracks I heard over the past week.
What makes you think you're the one (twice) Honey Hi Tango In the night (twice) Straight Back (love Chris's keyboard track on this) Mystified At every rest stop I always rolled up to someone and yelled "get some ribbons and some bows and get back on the road again!" I got some strange looks but it was funny and a stress reliever. Mystified has a unique feature in that Chris effects her voice to sound child like or really personal or sexual when she sings "deep inside." She is usually a steady singer but the way she effects her voice to a baby like during a few moments of the song makes it very unique.

Get this. I just got back from the store. I heard Tango In The Night again on Yacht Rock. Then I heard Trouble. In the grocery store I heard Got A Hold On Me. I hate to sound like a greedy piggy in the middle. But I wish Tango In The Night was the opening track to the album AND they let Lindsey play out for at least 15 more seconds. I was thinking in the car WHAT IF Stevie was on the track and yelling TANGO along with Lindsey and Chris. That may have really gave the track some rawness
