Yes, she was very good, but nothing I would consider a big stretch for her. That face she makes is usually seen in most of her dramas.

Birth was great...a little strange...but great!

My top three fav. Nicole performances are:

1. Moulin Rouge
2. The Human Stain
3. Cold Mountain

I thought about renting that, but I've heard mixed reviews so that kind of put me off. So you highly recommend it huh?

It's worth at least one viewing I think.

I own it...simply because I must own every movie Nicole is in!

I liked it a lot, mostly for the acting from everyone involved. There's a long scene with Kidman at the symphony where the camera zeroes in on her face for, like, three minutes and it's really amazing to watch her act out that scene using just her face and her eyes without talking. The very last scene packs quite a wallop, too, but it also serves to underscore what a missed opportunity some parts of the movie were.

I liked Cocoon - Wilford Brimley in a bathing suit? What's not to like.

Liked Parenthood too, jerks.

Watched Off The Map last night - what a quirky little flick that is. Joan Allen wonderful as usual, and I have loved Sam Elliot ever since Mask. The kid in it (Valentina de Angelis, I think) was really good too.
