I don't know why he'd bother. That's just what he wants out there, the artistic struggle. It can be fascinating though. Sometimes the things that they choose to lie about say as much as the truths they tell.

You know the person that Stella was talking to on the phone? I think that's the same person Lindsey was talking to.

I still remember when you posted those first screen caps from the video, before the rest of us had it. I was so excited. Lindsey, holding Lee Lee like that. Perfection.

Thank you for this Elle! I think Lindsey is so much more compelling when he is just his natural self. The recreated phone calls and self-indulgent, wordy poems (some of them are nice but others sound like Robert Frost throwaways- or maybe he shouldn't narrate them in that I'm saying some deep $h*# here kind of voice because they tend to lose me) have nothing on the LB I respect and love. I understand completely his struggles to keep his integrity in a business that, obviously, has disappointed, confused, and given him the finger oh too many times. But all in all, he's been a massive success. And as underrated as I believe he is in my little heart, I know for a fact that almost every row I stood/sat by at the FM shows I attended were primarily there for the band and left being floored by this man. I heard it, I saw it, it's true.

So he can just lay off a little of the sad stuff for these documentary/artistic statements and put together a decent music video or two and then throw the kids/wife in whenever...I don't care...maybe for the next album?

Muhahahaha!!! I swear...I'm the most gullible person ever. Still, I think Stella's expressions showcased a more varied range of emotion than papa.

I think it would be best for Lindsey to go with a smaller indie, like NewWest, Yep Roc or Shout Factory.

Ken Caillat said Buckingham said the record was finished... so I guess he's shopping it around now and toying with a release date??

Was Ken involved in producing the album?

Not that I know of... He did present Lindsey with the Les Paul award though... and said they had a chat after the show and that Buckingham said the album was done

It's ironic - the album is done and we don't know the title, but we knew the title for Gift of Screws for YEARS before it was released!

I'm surprised they haven't tried to generate more buzz about it.

Poor Lindsey. He needs a Dave to tweet for him.

well, we could all at least re-tweet it - if anybody would bother to provide any info!

but, as i said in the LB SNL thread, his management should really get him on "what's up with that" finale. it will be hugely and stupidly missed opportunity if they don't since a) somebody on SNL writing team seems to be a fan (or possibly really dislikes him), and b) that skit got LB's name out there to the whole different audience, and some of that audience might be open to his type of music. although, some SNL viewers may still think that bill hader is in fact lindsey buckingham anyway, that skit needs some kind of good finale...

and speaking of twitter, there is somebody who keeps tweeting to Seth Meyers about SNL's "mistreatment of LB" on "what's up with that" and that SNL should stop bumping him.
