I loved that show, & I'm not big on TV dramas usually. The kid was amazing in the first few episodes.

Ugh, Jeff was an asshole. Zach and Kelly did break up at prom (though it seems they got back together at a different prom.)

I remember her. She played Jenny, right? I watched all of those shows, plus the ones on Nickelodeon - Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, etc. I was a marketer's dream.

That was just a WEIRD movie. One of my favorite Lily movies as a kid was Big Business (she and Bette Midler play twins). "I got my Tuesday panties on but I guess you know that too!" As funny as she is in films, i'm not sure that i'd like her as a stage act. I'm not sure i'd like her doing stand up.

Oh God -- I love how they flash back dramatically to Carol loosing her voice and Cindy asking Santa Clause to give mommy her voice back -- then they sing him to safety

I thought so. They did a lot of breaking up. Also, what bugged me about the show is that when he wasn't with Kelly, he'd have these really intense relationships with women (a la Rena Sofer in the Hawaii episode) and then you'd never hear about them again.

Yes! I'll admit -- I've watched Au Pair and Au Pair II not just because it's cute and set in Europe but because I think Gregory Harrison is lookin' miiighty fine Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts were THE BEST. Do you remember Wet And Wild (i think that's what it was called -- they went to different towns and played crazy games), Roundhouse? Clarissa Explains It All was just released on DVD. I used to get made fun of -- Marissa Explains it All

And Leah Remini in the resort episodes.

Yep, I remember all of them. I wonder what happened to some of the cast members? Like the girl who played "Brad" on Hey Dude, for instance. Poof. Just vanished.

Exactly! I think that was one episode where it was explained why a relationship ended. At the end of the summer, she went back to New York to live with her mother--the end of that episode shows Zach sitting on the beach and everyone comes up and sits around him (I'm mortified I know this ) What happened to Jesse's step-brother? He appears in two episodes and then goes back to live with his mother but then you never hear about him ever again.

I'm honestly not sure. Funny that Christine Taylor got her start on that show.

Don't be mortified. We're just pop culturally savvy about the 80s and 90s.
I guess Jesse's stepbrother went to the same place Slater's sister went, never to be seen from again.

I liked the wussy Lily Tomlin character with the dog in the elevator.
Some funny lines in the film. My ex had me sit through it more than once.

My favorite part with Bette Midler is when she confronts her two assistans eating at the hotel restaurant, gives them new instructions, and then, disgusted, clenches her fists and grunts at them with her eyes bugging out.

Better term. We were probably the coolest kids ever. Other kids were out getting bruised ribs on their slip and slides and crocodile miles -- you and I were planted in front of the TV becoming the fine educated women we are today. Thanks, Nick!

Did you know that Sharon, Lois, and Bram are still at it? I forget what channel I was watching but they had another show. If we went out anywhere, I'd have my mom put the VCR on and record the show so I could watch it later Today's Special was another favorite of mine and so was Maple Town.

I'll watch it whenever it comes on. I find it hysterical for some reason.

Slip 'n slides? Good Lord. Such memories. I need to go find my LA Gear and jellies now.

No, I didn't realize they were still on. And I nearly died if I missed an Afterschool Special.
