I understand. My frustration came from the one-two punch of NC dissing from you and Dis. No harm, no foul. I just wanted people to understand that we were never supposed to be a blue state so it's okay.

I don't understand my state either-- but it does have a large rural population that is traditionally repub. Our state has never gone blue in my lifetime and I don't believe it's gone blue since 1964.

I think we all deserve a medal for waiting until page 4 for a fight to break out.

That's not the point. It was looking like Kerry was going to take NC, but Bush came from behind and took it. How he managed that when you look at unemployment numbers in NC and other things is beyond me. Every state has idiots, Meredith, you shouldn't take it personally. If I took things personally when people throw nasty comments towards MA, I'd be in such a constant state of rage that I wouldn't be able to function.

LA & MS to Bush. Too bad about LA.

Keyes is taking his sweet time coming out for his concession speech. Wish he'd hurry up- I need a good laugh.

ABC was giving Kansas a 46% vote for Kerry- can't believe it was that high.

My beloved Louisiana went unsurprisingly to W. Oh well, I still love it anyway

It never looked like NC was going to go for Kerry... it was just "too close to call". Bush was always up by between 5 and 10 points. I'm just saying. I live here. I know it's got a lot of republicans. It's a red state. It's the bible belt. It's inevitable. I think John Edwards did make a difference though.. the fact that Bush didn't win by more than 10 points is a surprise.

I was actually surprised Kerry was leading in Ohio earlier. I just wish he had held onto that lead. We needed it.

(As lame as it is, I can't help but love that joke. )
