The problem with Lindsey's songs on Tusk (at least to me) is the instruments. They sound like crap. Didn't he play/record this stuff in his bathroom and then bring it to the band? I don't know, some of the stuff just sounds muffled or something. I dig his lyrics and guitar playing, but I think that if he would have collaborated with the band a little more, this album could have been alot better.

You're right about the instrument and the sound but I think he did this on purpose.

Let me say this, all Lindsey's songs in Tusk are not comercial to say the least. Where I make a difference between his songs are his lyrics and thats why I think SMAP is much better that WATL , TAFE or TEFM.

The upshot is that I haven't yet had to cast a vote against a song I love... the downside is that I'm still having to vote for "Save Me A Place"!

Fair enough, but I'm disappointed. It's one of my faves.

I'm also surprised people would vote to pick off "Never Forget" before "Never Make Me Cry."

I like the latter song, but I LOVE the former.
