For those who have listened to In Your Dreams a few times and have had a chance to start absorbing it, there's no doubt the album was quite a departure from any album she's made in decades (solo or Fleetwood Mac).
So the question is, what type of an album would you like to see Stevie make next? I have two in mind: 1) I'd actually love a full on folk album... perhaps make it a Buckingham Nicks/Fleetwood Mac effort if that'd work best. Soldier's Angel struck me as very much being nouveau folk. It kind of rang home how really effective Stevie could be at writing/singing a much more stripped down type of album. 2) Now for the other end of the spectrum. From the little taste we got on Everybody Loves You, I'd actually like to see Stevie do a full on electronica album. This is something I've been secretly yearning for ever since I heard the Planets Of The Universe remixes 10 years ago . I think Stevie's ethereal lyrics would make for some incredible trance type music.

Get better!!!!
![]() But seriously, I'd love a book before she forgets more important details. Albumwise since country music is my thing, I'd love for her to do that. I'd also love an album of demos. |

2) I still feel cheated out of the "Mirror, Mirror" album that never was. I'd love to get those songs or even new ones - the dark/mystical sounding ones - on a full album. Sort of a "Moonlight" sound for a full album, with Dave's help. Maybe even a new, updated version of "Battle of the Dragon" in there, too. 3) Record & tour with Christine. Hell, Stevie, just tell her that she can bring her dogs on the road with yours. - Jake

I'd love to see Stevie reteam with Lindsey, Mick and John; employ Dave as a producer, and make a kick-ass Fleetwood Mac album; which it truly would be if Dave gets Lindsey half as well as he gets Stevie. Try to get Christine back into the studio only, she doesn't need to tour, and they should realise this. I keep thinking how much better (the already brilliant) Soldier's Angel would be if Christine was on harmonies too - the Fleetwood Mac song that never was.

Someone (in a review) said this album was very romantic... and I think it is. It's a very sweet record too. I think it would be great for her to tour a bit for it, and then get back with Lindsey and do a Buckingham Nicks project. It would really be something special to see 'em make some new music together... as well as re-release the old BN album.

Yeah, i mean, it's just what I'd like to see. I really think they could make themselves relevant if they did a new record, a small intimate tour, and re-release the old album. I certainly don't expect it to happen, though.

I want a Buckingham/Nicks album too. I do not, however, want anymore Fleetwood Mac tours. They have toured to death and it takes too long to recover from them and they are out of time.

I don't mind Fleetwood Mac touring; better to have some Mac than no Mac... but it does "reek" of nostalgia and money-grubbing when they aren't promoting something. If they tour again, they should be touring behind a record or a boxed set, etc.

An album of standards in the vein of Call On Me For Magic and At Last.

A new BN album would be sweet. I'm kinda "eh" about FM, but BN I'd be all over. I'd love for her to go through her vault stuff and do a whole album of properly recorded versions of some of the old demos. Re-mastered versions of her solo albums (or at least just Bella Donna & The Wild Heart) with bonus tracks are desperately needed as well.
It's really too bad we didn't get more duets out of them when they were both in FM. I was listening to the re-mastered Rumours bonus disc yesterday and hadn't realized that the outtake version of Oh Daddy features Stevie so prominently. That and Straight Back are pretty much all the Stevie/Christine "duetting" that I'm aware of. |

do a more country/Blue Grass influenced album, Maybe work with Dolly Parton to developed it ( listen to her version of Stairway to Heaven, before you Judge!)
to evolve and try something new like Cyndi Lauper has standard , the blues , Appalachian folk ,and not to be held back by people who have no creativity ,and are just looking out for the money . |
