1 - ‘Alice’ – I’ve never seen a song at any concert clear a crowd for the bathroom so quickly. It was like the trailer for ‘The Blob’.

2 - ‘I Sing for the Things’ – I have no idea why I dislike this song so much. Normally I like Stevie with acoustic guitar. Normally I like Stevie with Raspalittled voice ('Rock a Little', 'Lady from the Mountain'). Nothing on this works.

3 - ‘Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind’ – The vocal is decent, but this is entirely the wrong song for Stevie Nicks.

4 - ‘Love Is’ – The demo is better than the album version, but I’m not nuts about either of them. I really don’t care for the lyrics, especially the part about the tear hitting her lip & then the floor. You’re the Queen of Rock, you’re allowed to grab a tissue.

5 - ‘The Second Time’ - I don’t hate the song, it just needs greater subtlety than Stevie could give in those years. Stevie’s BTM voice is not right for the sparse guitar. A softer vocal, more like ‘It’s Only Love’, could have done wonders.

6 - ‘Love Changes’ – I don’t like the production.

7 - ‘Destiny Rules’ – Is the album called ‘Croak You Will’?

8 - ‘Everybody Finds Out’ - I like her belting in the last few bars, but the vocal at the very start is flat, & 7/8 of the song is just an overproduced nightmare. Could have been better.

9 - ‘Illume’ – Snake-voice Lindsey on back-up ruins this one for me, destroys the whole mood of the song. I think his normal voice would have been fine.

10 - ‘Affairs of the Heart’ – I like the “But I knew that this was just for now…” part, but mostly her vocal falls short on this one, and the lyrics and melody are uninspired.

*dishonorable mentions – 'Every Day', which I might resent less if it had not been selected to be the 1st single from TISL. And 'Smile at You', where a decent vocal is wasted on a mess of a production.

I thought these lists had to based on songs Stevie wrote or cowrote. If not, I Still Miss Blue Eyes will make my list

It says wrote OR collaborated on, if I'm reading right. I took collaborated to mean singing along to, not just writing alongside. Let me know.

well that's tricky, did she actually colloborate on Maybe Love, or did she just sing the song?

Affairs Of The Heart. Love the lyrics, loathe the production.
Right there, is why some of Stevie's songs fail. The right producer and production makes all the difference in the world, especially for an artist like Stevie, who has very rudimentary musical instrument talent.

I like all her BTM songs, but the production is atrocious! And on Stevie's songs specifically, the band sounds like it put forth little effort and zero imagination. AOTH & Freedom could have truly been A+ songs in the right hands. I've always thought in general BTM sounds like it was recorded and filtered through a tin can. Greg Ladanyi & along with whoever else in FM actually produced - made the case crystal clear as to why FM needed Lindsey, and Richard Dashut and Ken Calliat wouldn't have hurt too... at this point.

I like my reading much better, whether it was a misreading or not. Just anything she sang lead on in the studio. Simple.

I actually meant to only include songs she had some part of writing on but it doesn't really matter. There are no rules.

That wouldn't change my list a lot anyway. Thanks.

3. Imperial Hotel
4. The Nightmare
5. No Questions Asked
6. Paper Doll

More dislikes but didn't quite make the top ten: Enchanted, After the Glitter Fades, The Second Time, Welcome to the Room, Sara.

People who dislike Goodbye Baby must have not seen it live on the SYW tour right? It was very moving...

Wow--this was hard. I'm a newer fan and since there's so much Stevie music to love, I really haven't given much attention to the dreck. I limited it to songs Stevie is credited as a writer or co-writer on.

Silver Girl
Ooh My Love
After the Glitter Faces
Destiny
Unconditional Love--I don't know whether the harmonies are off or whether she just can't hit the notes, but the voices on the chorus make me wince.
Nothing Ever Changes
Bombay Sapphires--People seem to like this one, but I think the chorus is a big ol' cheese ball.
That Made Me Stronger
Alice
Wild Heart--Can't stand the production on the album version

I haven't mentioned these 2 but I agree with you on them. Geeze, there are a lot of songs I dislike . Many more I like though so I don't feel too bad.

As far as Unconditional Love, the verses are absolutely stellar but the chorus SUCKS! Never have heard a song with such great verses and s***ty chorus.
