Yeah, I tend to doubt they're in contact much these days. But like many old friends, I bet when they do see each other it's like no time has passed.
Didn't Stevie say something about knowing she could show up at Christine's door in the middle of the night with a suitcase in hand? Something about how Christine and Sheryl are the only two women she she could ever do that to. I think I read that somewhere...

Yeah, I too read that somewhere, can't remember where. They both have that bond of enduring Fleetwood Mac and in general the rock n' roll lifestyle.

Like on the Dance tour, I would watch them and get amused because Christine used a tamborine for a song and Stevie had zillions of them and Christine would go up to the stand to get a tambo and Stevie would like hand her two or three and to try on for size and Christine would kind of brush her away as if to say, "I can grab a tamborine for myself, you don't need to be a salesgirl about it." Well that's why Christine doesn't throw chairs. She gets dismissive, sarcastic. Whereas Stevie has a petulance about her--she'll jump across a room and choke you.

Christine has always had a general respect for Stevie, but they are very different personalities. Though, over the years, she has made little digs about her, which in fact, are not off base.
She would comment about how Stevie writes so many songs, and she wasn't so enamored with Stevie's airy fairy ideals. One of her infamous quotes was when she asked by an interviewer "How does it feel to be a sex symbol in rock and roll?" She responded "I don't know, ask Stevie Nicks."

That's a good way of looking at their relationship!
