Default New Mac Album: 2012/2013

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertain...#ixzz0xK9RVt00

Per Stevie:

Quote:
"Eventually, there will be another Fleetwood Mac record and another tour," says Nicks. "But this record is my moment. All next year, it's going to be this. This is now my turn."

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

It'd sure be nice if Stevie used the steam from her upcoming album and tour to go straight into the studio with the Mac, much like she did following TISL where she went straight into Fleetwood Mac for Say You Will. Even if that's exactly what she did, we wouldn't see a Mac album before mid 2013 at the absolute earliest. All of that is assuming Stevie's album will come out in a timely fashion in the Spring of '11, and she spends the entire year supporting it. Knowing Stevie, she'd hit the Mac studios no earlier than January of '12, and everything would take at least 18 months. Basically, all of this is best case scenario... which is something we really can't count on with this group of people!

I get the distinct impression Stevie really doesn't want anything to do with Fleetwood Mac, and hasn't for around the 7 years or so now. I guess she pulls it together so Mick and John especially can make some money. I'd say there won't be another Mac album, but I don't think she'd leave the boys of the band out to dry like that.

My thoughts exactly. At this point I wouldn't mind seeing a Men of Mac tour. Heck, I'd even put up with Paul Rodgers.

The world is not ending until the end of 2012, so they still have 11.5 months left to tour.

If that doesn't herald the end of days, I don't know what would!

I don't want to stray too far off topic, but what is the big deal with the Mayan calendar? Yes, they were supposedly very advanced for their time, but guess what? They dead. For a long time... I do harbor this romantic notion that 12.21.2012 is indeed the end and that we should all embark on our own Eat Pray Love immediately... but, alas... it's about as worrisome to me as Y2K. Ever heard of that one?

Their claims about the universe are not affected by whether or not they're dead. What is important is how they arrived at such claims. Needless to say, they're methods weren't especially scientific...
In any case, I'm in a good mood at the moment, so I'll give people the benefit of the doubt and assume everyone that says they believe the world will end then is lying.

Well lets not get too carried away, it is not going to be the end of the world.
But it will be a major time of change for all of us. There is going to be an almighty powershift somewhere at the top. There may be Global Finance melt down. We can already very clearly see the signs everyday of this happening. The whole world is in a mess right now and all the fundemental issues are in crisis. Health, Policing, Banking, Education, Housing, Food Production, Oil.
2012 is only the begining of what is about to happen it is not the end.

Clear all you debts as soon as you can, Don't owe anybody anything. Soon massive Interest rates are going to be the first thing that will try to ruin us. when you cant pay they will take your house.

The police are no longer peace officers, they are now law enforcement officers enforcing upon us all those statute laws we think we have to adhere to. Fines, Fees, Penalty points, Fear fear fear thats all they are about. A legalised Gang of heavys protecting the people at the top.

Whats the world coming to.

wooooahhhh went way off topic there.....

Anyway yeah cant wait till a new FM album bring it on

As all this attests: a new Mac album is NEEDED.

No, Mayans still live, as a people, not as a culture. They never went away. You can thank the Spanish for conquering the area (like they did further south with the Incas, as well)...and converting the Mayans to Catholocism and therefore ending their culture. I think the Mayans just felt they had a whole lotta time to come out with their next calendar ("ok, we have a while til we need to update this thing"), meanwhile, the Spanish floated into town.
