Holiday Road on a commerical!

[Moz]

Just saw a commercial for The Great American Road Trip, some new show, and Holiday Road was playing.

I was just reading about European Vacation being released on Blu-Ray and it said that Holiday Road was still present and over the ending credits. It occurs to me that Lindsey probably made more money off of that one song than he did on any of his solo albums or his most popular single, Trouble.

Easily. Its the only solo song of Lindsey anyone (practically speaking) knows, and probably the only one a good chunk of legit Fleetwood Mac fans know as well.

I don't know if it's more money combined, but definitely more money than any album has made.

Blue Ray Disc Review from The Cinema Laser

NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION is presented on Blu-ray Disc with a 1 channel DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. Although lossless, the sound is a bit shoehorned by the monaural production. I am still a big fan of Lindsey Buckingham’s theme song Holiday Road and wish that it could have been a bit more sonically polished on this release. Overall, the soundtrack gets the job done without bells and whistles. Sound effects aren’t always wholly convincing, but are rendered well enough for this type of comedy. Dialogue is crisp and completely understandable. French and Spanish Dolby Digital monaural tracks are also encoded onto the disc, as are English, French and Spanish subtitles.
