Ok so Mick Fleetwood doesn't get a lot of recognition for his solo work despite the obvious talent that the albums contain. Mick does have a great knack of bringing together talented musicians, something that he has demonstrated in that other band called Fleetwood Mac.
Sure the MFBB is perhaps the best known of Mick's bands and I'll almost put money on it getting the most votes, but hopefully some of the old albums get a few votes too! Oh yes and I know that officially The Zoo and MFBB are bands and not solo albums but humour me here... Personally I find this quite a hard question to answer (stupid of me to ask the question then isn't it?) but I'll give my vote to I'm Not Me... |

I think I've actually only heard Something Big- I own that one, and it's a nice album!

I haven't played it in a VERY VERY long time, but I know I remember Ms. Evans' background vocals were simple and stellar!

No contest for me. The Visitor is gorgeous. I dream that the Mac had joined Mick in Africa for their follow-up to Tusk. It would have changed the trajectory of the band's history and, I believe, music history. All I want in life is "Edge of Seventeen" with an African choir.

I'm all for I'm Not Me!! I love 'Angel Come Home', 'You Might Need Somebody', and of course, 'I Want You Back'!

It's I'm Not Me for me....the Fleetwood Mac album that never was.
Anyone notice how the sax line of the song "State Of The Art" was stolen by Christine for the melody of "Little Lies"?? HMMMMM??? Hands??? Anyone??? Bueller??

I'm Not Me ranks first for me but The Visitor comes in a very close second.

Where can we hear the first three albums on this poll? I'm especially interested in The Visitor. I haven't heard any of the first three, and don't know if they are out of print, or if they were even ever released to CD.

Wow I'm actually surprised at the love for I'm Not Me especially given that it is generally the hardest to find of the MF solo albums...

The Visitor was released on CD but it is VERY difficult to find actual copies. There are a lot of bootleg versions. On the other hand, I have NEVER come across a copy of I'm Not Me on CD which leads me to believe that they never printed the album on that format, or they are very, very rare to find.

It cost me about A$200 for six Billy albums but you can't complain when you finally get to hold such things in your hand... Actually don't think I even own a copy of the Visitor (other than in mp3 format) I used to have it on vinyl for many years but as I have no way of playing the vinyl it kicked around about 15 years until it was damaged and I threw it away... |
