Just was looking at photos and thought I'd post a couple you don't see around all the time, in case others might want:

Thanks for sharing! I really like John. He seems like just a cool guy.

Lindsey looks way younger than everyone else here again.

Everyone else kind of looks the same.

The one of John at the press conference wasn't really during The Dance, I just threw that in.

I know they patterned the Dance cover after the Matisse painting, but I don't know what made them think of it.

I do know that afterwards, I bought a painting with 5 figures in motion and I did it because of FM.

Well, I've always interpreted the meaning of the Dance as it correlates with this pic as the image of five people in a circle, holding hands in some sort of embrace...or a chain. I mean circle=cycle and the hands held= the chain.

Plus it's a cool picture to base a 5-person band reunion title/DVD/tour off of. I think so anyway...

Some more Dance photos. You've probably already seen most of these since they're from the Hall of Fame thing in 1998.

I always found that such a squirmy, terribly uncomfortable press conference to watch because of the obvious tension between Lindsey & Mick over various matters.

Chris, however, comports herself with great class, & seems to be able to either smooth over or brush rapidly past tense pauses in the conversation.

It is. I remember an interview in 1997 they asked the band about the album title and Stevie said "Tell them, Lindsey. It's Matisse"

That paint is a Matisse. But how they chose it, or who did, I have no idea.

I'm inclined to think Lindsey. Just because he's like a huge art collector and, well, have you seen that man's living room? It's like an overstocked museum.

IIRC, they wanted to use that for the cover, but were not given permission.

One of the greatest Fleetwood Mac pictures ever. You know Mick would blow his load if he could get this to happen on a regular basis. Can't say I'd blame him, either.

I love the dance cover anyway, I always thought they were trying to recreate sort of the Rumours cover in a way, but matisse makes super sense
Who thought of the Rumours cover idea anyway?
