Default Stand Back on Soundstage cd

Is this an actual live version from the show or some cheesy redone studio version??

I hope it rocks like it did live on the show... just trying to prevent disappointment when i purchase tomorrow

All of the songs on the CD are the same live vocals that are on the DVD, just with the audience removed; to give the CD more of a studio feel as opposed to a live CD, which I think is cool.

Enchancing the songs (by adding vocals) and working on the production aspect of the songs on the CD; that is why they sound like studio tracks.

Default You know..

ya'll know I love me some Stevie Nicks, but I'm putting this sessions set at 3 out of 5 stars..

It gets 3 stars for:

1. How Still My Love - this woman can still sound so sexy to me, and I'm into dudes. When she goes into that "should I stay..." mode, she's got me. What a beautiful track - both vocally and musically. My favorite on the set.

2. Beauty and the Beast - What a torch ending.. one of her best vocals in a while, imho. Why it didn't make the DVD cut is beyond me, but I can put the headphones on, close my eyes, and let that voice that captured my heart so many years just take me away... Awesome, just awesome.

3. Landslide - I know it's been done and done and done.. but her voice just sounds so soothing here. I love it.

ok.. back to the topic. I found it interesting that this is being called her first "live" cd.. because to me, I live record should capture a performer in her concert mode, and this doesn't do it at all.

p.s. I so wanted to love "Sara" but - I've been listening to the Fleetwood Mac Live album version alot lately - and this vocal pales, in an almost abrasive way, to that beautiful vocal from the Tusk tour..

finally - I actually do like Circle Dance and I think, and it's a longshot, that this is probably the one track that Stevie might have had an adult contemporary hit with.. it's very pretty and seems like it would fit into that radio format. AC is probably the only format that would even consider playing a new Stevie Nicks track.. Circle Dance is nice..

Wow- I have yet to listen to the whole thing (I just got it), but Sara and B&B sound like they were studio-only (not live). I know you can hear a little audience in the middle of Crash though. (I bought the single last week)

I really like the CD... Beauty and The Beast sounds amazing!! To me it's pretty damned close to her vocals in the 80's... That was the first thing I thought of when I heard it... It's pretty cool!

Bonnie Raitt version is still better though...

If you listen to the Bonnie Raitt version her vocals fit a lot better with the lyrics of the song...
