Post 3 years and my cd is almost done and I have a show!!!

Hey,

I know I've posted before. I've finally done it, the cd I have been working on and writing for the past 3 years is almost done. I've been working with a new producer in Pawtucket RI, whose managed to get the sound I wanted out of the songs and make me work harder. I also found a perfect guitar player to accompany my lyrics. The cd contains 11 songs ranging from "hip/hop inspired tracks, blues, rock, and folk" It's quite a mix but the songs flow really well and I am very proud and pleased with the quality and sound.

Track Listing:

Crossroads- An acoustic driven rock song with blues riffs kick off the cd.
You and I- A Reggae flavored track features a violinist and rap from my cousin on it.
Stay- A blues dance song that has guitar with a muted tone and some killer organ. Very fun to groove too. My two year old daughter loves to dance to it.
The Waltz- A song for my daughter, just a great song about her.
Never Enough- A hip-hop style revenge sorta song about relationships and never feeling enough for anyone. Some killer guitar in it as well and the vocal effect lil Wayne uses in every song. A lot more aggressive.
Horizon- A song about dreams, the only one I wrote the riff for.
I Want You Near- mid-tempo goo goo dolls type of song. Great violin and guitar parts through out the song. Solo that make you think of 'Put Your Lights On"
Fight, Fight, Fight- Very Aggressive, centered around an old style blues inspired riff.
I've Been Waiting- A more punk sounding song. Another I'm over you song.
Re-Run- Up Lifting, good time song. More folksy sound to it.
Counting Down the Days (Working Title)- Kinda of Jazz oriented track.

I have new samples posted on my music myspace featuring the vocal and beat tracks for Horizon, Never Enough and an almost done version of The Waltz as well.

I will be playing a few dates this summer. The first is going to be at MCLA in North Adams, Ma on May 3rd I'll be part of a music festival supporting the local radio station. I know some of you listened to my NIN type cover of Go Insane. We will be doing some covers .... maybe Oh Well and Second Hand News.

yep, recall the name kandalaft...I'm digging the sounds...and I can appreciate your new producer working with you to find your sound. Will you be laying down vocals for Crossroads?

Let me know when your CD is available.

I layed vocals down already for it. i just am not satisfied with them. I am going in next week to add more vocals to the tracks as well as do some mixing.
