http://thehill.com/campaign-2008/bil...008-08-26.html

Today in Denver:
[Bill Clinton] said: "Suppose you're a voter, and you've got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don't think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?"

Then, perhaps mindful of how his off-the-cuff remarks might be taken, Clinton added after a pause: "This has nothing to do with what's going on now."

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

^^

I googled this, but could not find anything other than far right sites quoting it and none privided a citation to the original source -- I'd like to see the context as none of those sites IMO can be trusted to provide an accurate portrayal.

But, it is kind of funny - that Slick Willy

Most Dem's made their minds up about President Bush before he was even in office.
And as for the post mentioning the Iraqi pullout, the Dem's did want an pullout first.
But they wanted it before we were (and are) winning. That's a big difference.
I made up my mind when he was appointed President by daddy's supreme court abetted by his brother the Governer of the state in contest! (please)can we say nepotism?I guess I buck the trend as I am not only for a pullout I believe 100% that we should never have gone in.The only way we can "win" is to stay there and occupy that nation interminably and we had a profound lack of understanding of the culture of that region and still do..Iraqi or Iran for that matter is not Germany .Japan or South Korea. And I am not so blindly partisan that I will throw out the baby with the bathwater ..I have maintained all along that I like John McCain as an individual and as misguided as I feel he is about many of his policies I feel he has the best interest of America in his heartI am however very concerned about his running mate given his age and health history ,if he were to win which I hope he does not .As for Bush he is an imbecile ..sorry.

I'll let ajm do the hard work here, he's a bit more scholarly than I.
I'm just a simple farmer. Plus for the most part, I'm just here for fun.
I made up my mind about W before he went into office, yes, because he looked like a complete idiot to me on camera. He didn't speak properly and didn't have anything substantial to say. I didn't get him, don't get him, and won't get him. And damned if I wasn't right on the money. F*cking American people baffled me on that one.

Yeah I think my distaste for him actually predated the election theft of 2000..I remember thinking to myself how did an inarticulate cretin like him beat a great lady like Ann Richards in the Texas gubernatorial election..an early dose of Rovian style smear and nepotism I'd imagine.

She was stunning, direct, concise, and amazing.

I truly wish she were the nominee.

Charles Krauthammer said Hilary's speech brought remorse to the Democrats, making them think they've got the wrong candidate for President.

I think her speech was more about her than Obama.

Let the fight begin.

I can't go quite that far but after watching her I think it may have been a mistake not to choose her as the V.P.and coming from me that is a mouthfull. I want the Democrats to win this election so much is at stake after 8 years of ineptitude and boundless stupidity.

Yes I agree, those Democrats in the House and Senate are bad for America.
You would think they'd at least vote for more drilling. At least President Bush
by just mentioning drilling in one of his speaches brought the price of oil down.

Cant wait til November to see who Oklahoma sides with...A Democrat has yet to win this state in my lifetime (Last being Kennedy) during a presidential election (Which is odd since OK is a Democratic dominated state)

When Clinton was in the ORAL Office the economy (Along with jobs) in this state went 'bye-bye' faster than you can say NAFTA - But the past couple of years Oklahoma has been (According to Forbes magazine) the #1 'recession proof' state to live in.

Oklahomans favored Hill-Billy over Obama by 2-to-1 (Whites and Blacks favor Hill-Billy whereas Indian Tribes favor Obama) so I think Oklahoma may be an interesting state (of confusion) come November since those Hill-Billy fans feel slighted since she is not the VP candidate.

On the good side, At least we can vote without confusion unlike those in Michigan and Flor-i-DUH

I was thinking more of the lives lost and young people maimed in a war that Bush and co. lied to get us into ,our huge national debt and our runied international relations , the shrinking middle class brought on by Bush and his policies.
