I got some nice things-

Suede coat from Jeff
Clothes, skin/bath/body stuff, candles, books [Stephen King's latest], two pair of shoes, and that fabulous chair and ottoman from my mother-in-law.

Seriously, the most important thing is that Jeff and I are still together, healthy, and doing well. It has been such a rough couple of years!

Yes, hopefully you'll be able to move on soon.

Wow. Who knew that Andre's Ledge flirting with your husband could do so much damage.

JK - glad to hear everything's all good for you.

Well, I recieved some money and a Sony Dream machine from mom, and clothes from my aunt and uncle. Pretty quiet year, which was nice.

I got $100 (so far), and my parents paid the $70 ticket for me to visit. Otherwise just a sweatshirt that says "Pollock Pines" which is the town here, and some footless tights w/patterns. Which, i actually love footless tights. Also a super yummy Christmas dinner.
I've also learned infinite patience from trying to do stuff on this goddamned computer which is dial up.
Also gotten to watch endless court tv/other true life mystery forensic shows, cause they have cable. Yep, it's been a murderous, murderous Christmas!

Sparky, my dad got me a cordless drill for my birthday a few years back, and I fricking love that thing. So handy.

Oh, my dad got a bow from his dad a couple weeks back, (grandpa decided that since he is 80 now, he wouldn't be hunting with it as much) which I got to mess with a little bit.
Also, my parents got a new dog, who is so sweet, so now i get to walk two dogs.

I got a few gift cards including a $50.00 card for Southwest Airlines. Lindsey here I come! I got tons of candy and a little Bath and Body Works set. My friend gave a me photo bracelet but I am going have to print the photos out and give the bracelet to my friend to put together. I can't stand putting things together. She gave another one of our friends a Freddie Mercury doll. That was fun.

First, my best gift this year was that we got to have one last Christmas with my husband's grandma. She has stage 4 lung cancer, and it's spread to her liver & brain. She's done well for over a year now, but I fear the end is near. Her husband died last year, and she's 77 years old so it's not really a shock. But it still hurts. All my grandparents were gone by the time I was 10, so she really has become my grandmother over the past 12 years. The tradition of going to her house every Christmas night with the rest of the family is one of my favorite things to do, and I will miss it. But we were able to make it a wonderful night, for her and for all the kids, so I'm happy. Hard to think that it was probably the last time....

On a lighter note, we got a call from my niece in Bulgaria & were able to chat with her for a while. We rarely call (it's still pretty pricey, we usually letters or email) so this was a nice surprise. Talked to my bro in AZ too.

Material gifts? My mp3 player rocks in theory, but there's something wrong with it. I've emailed customer support, so hopefully they can tell me what to do. I got the cashmere lined leather gloves I asked for, as well as a Boxer desk calendar. A few gift cards, 1 hideous sweater & 1 nice one, and seasons 1 & 2 of The Facts of Life on DVD. That was kind of a gag gift, but I'll probably watch it anyway.

Funniest gifts people I know received:

My husband opened a wooden bottle opener shaped like a penis. The tag said "From Mom." It was actually my sisterinlaw's doing.

Same sisterinlaw bought other sisterinlaw a Whitesnake DVD, a bag of mozzerella sticks and stuffed chicken breasts. So random, and so hilarious.

I bought her Billy Idol Happy Holidays. I thought it was a joke, but it's legit. It's not that bad either.

I got boxer shorts...4 or 5 shirts...socks...the Peter Jackson Biography...a stuffed Snuffleuphagus (the Sesame St guy)...the Beatles Love CD...Sarah McLachlans Christmas CD...a book about Karl Pilkington...2 Ricky Gervais DVD's...

I got a Toshiba DVD recorder with a 160 HD to 'upgrade' my Panasonic with, season 5 of "Will & Grace", a 2006 Holiday Barbie, 4 pairs of earrings, a gift card, $270 in cash, and Lindsey tickets.
My daughter ended up with 10 of the Barbie 12 Dancing Princess dolls, about 12+ Bratz dolls, a scooter, Barbie w/horse and stable, some books and clothes. My living is officially Barbie & Bratz hell now.

My husband got me a sapphire and diamond ring. It is beautiful! I asked for a kitty but didn't get one. I don't think he can take me losing another pet.

My son got me a candle.

Mom and Dad got me new kitchen rugs, cannisters, and dishes, and a kitty figurine.

Sister and Brother in law got me a picture for my bedroom and some other pretties.

My brother in law freaked over the Lindsey tickets I gave them!!! (Thanks Pattie )

I got my Dad some Lottery tickets and he had a $500 winner!
