I'd say every one of their songs from 1971-1974 is underrated.

Here are some of the Mac's most underrated songs, IMO:
"I Don't Want to Know"--- Always gets slammed because it took the place of Silver Springs, and people think it is too cutesy. They overlook the melody and the amazing harmony that makes the song great. "Silver Springs"--- This is a wonderfully haunting song that didn't get the credit it was due until The Dance which was nineteen years later. Totally unfair for it to be shelved for that long. "Sister of the Moon" I think this is one of Stevie's best songs. It is dark, mysterious, and has great lyrics, yet it is rarely talked about or played on tour. "The Ledge" I think this song is one of Lindsey's most innovative, "a head of its time" songs. It is one of a kind! "Never Make Me Cry" This is one of Christine's most beautiful, heartfelt songs. A true gem on Tusk.

I can't say the "most", but Storms comes to my mind. Not in terms of fans, cause we all knew deeply the mac works. But in general, this song could have been a hit. And (at least in Peru) nobody knows this song, and it's never played on the radio

It's already been mentioned, but I believe That's Alright is the secret portal of Stevie's voice change from "before" to "after". Do you know what I mean? And Gypsy? Is "after" the portal. Spooky, no? Same album...other side of the portal...ooooo....ooooo
Personally Angel is my favorite underrated song. That's alright second, Kind of Woman third. Today.

Blue Letter, Angel and That's Allright are, for me, the most underrated Fleetwood Mac songs. Stevie wise I'd say No Spoken Word, Doing the Best I Can and for some reason Greta and Blue Denim seem to take a beating sometimes and I love both of those.

Me too. I think it's a great Lindsey song. One of his most overlooked. Possibly the most overlooked. Second Hand News I agree with as well. For the opening track on Rumours it seems strangely unmentioned.

She was already used to singing the former and could, therefore, aproach the old style of singing. ...I don't know if this makes any sense. But I too hear a difference in vocal attack between those songs. |

I really like this thread
![]() I agree with the person that said anything from 1971-1974 is underrated. There was a ton of good stuff during that time. All of "Time" seems underrated. Most people don't even give it a chance it. If I am just picking the Rumors line-up songs I would pick these based on the fact that causal fans don't mention these songs and I don't see much love for them on fan boards either. Lindsey Blue Letter Family Man ( Don't find to many fans of this one) Empire State ( I love this song but most people seem to hate it) *Most of Tusk* The Ledge That's All For Everyone Walk a Thin Line I know I'm Not Wrong What Makes You Think Your the One Christine Warm Ways (I was on another board recently and was shocked at how many said they hated this song.) Honey Hi *I loved every single Chris song on Tusk* Never Forget Never Make Me Cry Isn't it Midnight Only Over You Hollywood Oh Daddy Stevie I Don't Want to Know Straight Back That's Alright When I See You Again (Another one that I rarely see get ANY love. I like this song. It grew on me.) Destiny Rules |

For me I would put "Landslide" at the top of the list for " grossly overrated." I don't hate the song but people I know (even those who either don't like FM much or don't know a lot of their songs) like it. It was never a real favorite of mine. Last edited by Dreamz19; 12-29-2006 at 01:21 PM.. |

And "Honey Hi" is such a GREAT song. I have heard some say that was one of the worst "Tusk" songs but I really adore it. |
