For once I think I agree with you. I need to see if Hell has frozen over.

Not at all- you mistakenly inferred that. Again, what I do not like is this twink dragging every note out at the end and her constant raising of her hand as if she is witnessing in some black gospel revival tent at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. To quote my mother - this poser is "too much sugar for a dime" and I, and apparantly others, think and thought her own thing was horrible.

As for Thomas, he was boring, as he usually is, but at least less is usually more.

Yep - and it seems to have been the trend for like ten years now. The funniest incidence to me is when Brittany Spears used to try to do it I mean at least Stone HAS a voice no matter how inappropriately she uses it

I recorded it. It was by far the best performance of the night. Gwen looked absoloutely beautiful in her Marilyn-esq get up, had no back up dancers, and sounded amazing. You really missed out!

I watched it, but it cut out when she walked out on stage. Then it cut back into the middle of the song. So i did see it, just didnt tape it.

Was anyone else reminded of the Funky Chicken watching Joss Stone on stage? She makes the mistake of thinking she has to fill every musical interlude with wailing. Overall, pretty uninspired, but the crowd really seemed to dig it. Their heads would explode if they saw Stevie sing it! hehe

I have just watched the video (thanks for the link ), and found the performance pretty flat but not really bad. It's just that everytime I listen Joss Stone even if I appreciate her singing skills she involves me emotionally as hearing the yearly economic report on watches sells in Switzerland.

I love Rob Thomas (if you couldn't tell by what's in my sig.). I thought they both did a wonderful job with the song.
