That was a really good tour (other than all the covers) but I went to a number of shows in 05, 07, and 08 where the venues weren't full. Lawns closed and back sections empty.

Has Stevie tour with Billy Joel been going well? Are they selling tickets?

I'll cue that a new album or new song(not a cover) is coming out on February 9 before her winter tour begins

Judging by the Ohio State show - I guess charging 150.00 for nosebleed seats a mile away hasn't panned out the way they thought it would in the long run. I'm shocked!

They also are playing the smaller stadium in Arizona, The Bob, rather than Cardinals Stadium where a few SuperBowls were held. Billy played The Bob on his own two years ago.

Do you they understand that people are barely getting by? The prices are ridiculous and it's a geriatric show.

But of course, $tevie has always been a numbers gal. Selling out an arena at $20/seat would be an embarrassment for her, because "she's worth so much more than that". ![]()

I'm really glad that I've become a fan of other bands that play much smaller venues and tickets are usually $20-40. The last time I went to an arena show was probably during Tom Petty's final tour. The nearest "shed" seems to only book country acts or cringe-y classic rock triple bills.

I too love finding great, unknown bands. Then I always get pissed when they make it big, because I can no longer see them with only 100 other people.

Yeah I just don't see how it's worth it anymore. I can get a hotel room in Pittsburgh and two tickets for a show at the Thunderbird Music Hall for the price of one Stevie ticket, before ticketmaster fees are added!
I give Tom Petty major credit - on his last tour we had nosebleed seats that were on the side of the stage. Those seats were $27.00 in 2017.

Tom sounded like a really upstanding guy in that way, looking out for fans. I remember reading that back in the early 1980’s, when his record company wanted to sell the Heartbreaker’s latest album for $9.99, he had a fit and threatened to retitle the album “$8.99” or something like that… and the record company backed down and sold it for $8.99!
