Thank you. I do have Apple and did a search. I have had no luck. But maybe there is a key word or something.

Sure it was that bad, since I just listened once and never again. That CD was quickly taken to the attic, that I didn't remember how most of the songs sounded.

I honestly don't think I even listened to the entire CD. It was just bad.

I was 17-18 and trying to get my hands on anything Mac related that I could find. I’m pretty sure I threw that CD out within a week or two at best. It was horrible. Not one redeeming song.

I really like Jewel's YMLF. Highlight is that part in the outro when she sings the higher harmony.

Elton's Don't Stop has grown on me. Didn't think much of it at the time and it's not my favorite cover by any means. But he embraces the spirit of the original.

I agree. Some of them are very good. It’s fun discovering new things in songs you love that kinda surprise you and make you wanna sit and listen to them all over and over again. I especially enjoyed Gold Dust Woman and Lindsey’s electric guitar at the end which give it a whole new ending… to me. It’s odd though that Apple didn’t do Tusk, but Mirage is done in Dolby Atmos. It really helps that album sonically. I think Gypsy really stands out. I really would love for Tango and Tusk to get the treatment because Tango needs it. I was so very disappointed when we didn’t get the 5.1 Surround Sound with it.

I didnt even know MIRAGE was out in Dolby Atmos. Its SO different in this version. Very similar to the 5.1 mix — but without the weird bass dropping out. Only over you is a completely different (and better) song in this mix. There are SO many cool things to discover in the Atmos mix of this album. STRAIGHT BACK is just phenomenal!

How do you find these? Are they just in the "Essential Albums" in Apple music?

Ok, I found them. These seem to be a remix. There are definitely tracks added.

I honestly don't care for them. Some of the guitar parts for example added on Crystal are annoying and take away from the beautiful balance of this song.

Very interesting to hear some of the things that were cut out.

I did find Straight Back interesting. However, the overall mix is too spatial on all of these albums, even for my taste.

Straight Back is cool. And Only over You, Oh Diane, and Wish you were here have a lot of added nuance which i like. Meanwhile Hold me and Gypsy have parts that take away from the song. Interesting -- but they get in the way at times — like the eyes-of-the-world oohs and ahs in the Gypsy bridge was bonkers.

It's really cool to see what was there that we never have heard before.

Like looking at the cutting room floor.

Yes! Hearing all this, you realize Mirage could have been a much more Tusk-ish album -- but then MOST of the weirdness was shaved away for the actual release. Hearing all these parts now — 40 years later — is refreshing. Not all the Atmos/Surround mixes are better — but its a damn treat to hear all that weird lindsey creativity and hear all the new background vocals swimming in the mix
