I believe Christine was willing to participate in the making of Say You Will, but she wasn't willing to tour, so they didn't include her. I think that was a shortsighted decision, and I think it would be an equally shortsighted decision to not include Stevie in a tour, simply because she doesn't want to record.

I agree completely with this. I never understood why they didn't let Chris record. If she had been on SYW and just not toured, I would not have seen her as any less of a member of the band. Same with Stevie now.

She's been acting jealous ever since Christine came back. She didn't realize how much Christine meant to the band's legacy, and to the fans.

She wants to be the center of attention, and she ONLY feels like that now when she's solo(because even when Chris was gone, Lindsey outshone her by leaps and bounds). And she SHOULD be solo, but she won't walk away from the payday, and ~what attention~ she does get with FM.

Lindsey and Chris walked away when they'd had enough, but she won't. She'd rather hold them hostage. She's a drama queen.

I guess her ego was a bit hurt on that last concert on Thursday when a fan shouted at her to shut up and sing.

Chris's return meant sold out arenas and additional concerts on many cities (London, Sydney), something Stevie probably didn't expect.

Many of us wants her out if she clearly doesn't feel comfortable around the rest of the band, and even though she didn't bluntly express it, she say it every time she praises working with her friends (Tom Petty, Don Henley, Chrissie Hynde).

She should leave and end this drama, or say once and for all what she wants so they can all move on with their respective projects.

They tried that arrangement with the Time band, and it proved to be very awkward. Not to mention, there still would have been the issue of getting Christine out to California.

The first time I read about Christine buying the place in Kent was in 1992. I don't know when she moved there full-time (I always assumed 1998), but I'm sure she was there by the time of the SYW sessions.

She bought the house in Kent in 1990. It took sometime for it to be repaired and upgraded.

Lol this post is hilarious! Yes, I'm sure Stevie was so upset that their last tour sold so well, whatever the reason.

When she was on the world tour (Behind the Mask) is when the work started. She sort of knew that would be her last Mac tour (at least for awhile back then). Interesting. This is right before the internet was blowing up. By the time the Dance hit, I was getting all the articles and newsfeeds.

Chris, aren't you enjoying the warm back-and-forth about who has the most hits, who owes whom what, who's the band's most powerful savior, and who deserves to string-a-long and who doesn't?

Speaking of which songwriter's work gets used most in commercials, there's a new TV commercial in America for I know not what, but it's a bunch of kids singing Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow.
