He's the one that who had talked about what it would mean to him to get back to doing something along the lines of what they had before FM, about how much he would love building songs with her from the ground-up, about how great it would be doing something with just the two of them- promoting BN, etc. Not to mention- they've got a few chapters, etc etc to learn.. to discover.. about each other! I agree, SHE is hesitant to go into the studio with him. She's afraid to screw with this hard-won truce she's finally got going with him.

Maybe if we're talking live, but in the studio Lindsey just wants to make music. That's why he recorded all his songs without Stevie and he's currently working on Christine's songs without Stevie. It can't be a "primary" motivation when he can't have realistic expectations that she's going to be heavily involved in the process. Lindsey is an artist who needs to make music. That's his motivation. Stevie apparently could take it or leave it.
