well, he certainly had a well-documented love affair with pot. by all accounts he and richard dashut could have been cheech and chong.

his "fondness" for pot kinda makes sense, really. pot generally mellows people out. coke amps them up. given that lindsey's already a pretty intense personality naturally, it would seem more fitting that he would not be as into a drug that further amps him up but rather one that chills him out.

This is about John on The Dance tour.
I wonder how John handled the meeting with Christine in Hawaii. He was moved I'm sure. I wonder if he went back to Honolulu right after. Michele

Being a user, even a problem user, isn't the same as being an addict.

LMAO. I think that comparison is a little extreme.

During the recording of Rumours, didn't they keep a 5 lb sack of cocaine under the desk? I think that Richard ans Ken played a trick on the band, by pretending to spill the sack, but they actually spilled a bag of flour or something. I think Richard said that John dived over the desk to try and save the bag.

I don't know. I think in the back of his mind he will always adore her.

I never actually used the word "addict".

I was being somewhat facetious. I seem to recall some story about them in a car smoking pot and it brings to mind scenes from Cheech and Chong movies. It paints a pretty funny picture.

I might suggest tho that the line between "problem user" and "addict" can be somewhat murky.

But, once that line is crossed, an addict is always an addict, whereas the problem user can quit or moderate. It would be like a pickle trying to become a cucumber again.

Fair enough. Though I must say I've never thought of it in pickle terms before ; )

This is great. I've never read it before. That's funny Lindsey saying, "there's always an evil twin." It actually reminds me of schtick Jay Leno used to do when he was actually a comedian and tolerable.

Yeah, I've heard he doesn't drink anymore. Funny he said that about bourbon. I remember reading Stevie say recently that "Lindsey would have went for the bourbon." Back in the day. I've also read he liked imported beer.
