Being a subscriber to the "it doesn't hurt to ask" principle, I called and spoke to someone in Dave's camp today. She didn't tell me anything new, saying distribution is being set up for it. But, she assured me that the project is NOT being shelved. In fact, when I asked her about that possibility her reply was, "Oh, no no no." She said these things just take time sometimes. She was really cool too, BTW.

So hang in there guys! (I will too)

Thanks for the word.
I so hope we get a blu-ray too of this doc. I still feel cheated that an HD concert of Stevie in Chicago never happened. Yes, I know about the Sears/PBS one, but it does not contain the same content as the DVD release (missing Dreams).

Hope is alive!

http://nickslive.blogspot.com/2012/0...Reviews%29&m=1

Just my prediction based on little things I've heard here and there: Stevie will promote this in the fall by doing a few shows with Dave, some of course being on the West Coast!

(Fingers crossed!)

Jamie

Aside from promoting the new album, Stevie says her other impetus for touring this summer is to give herself material for a future project. “At my age, you start to really go, ‘I’m going for the experience,’” she explains. “As my mom always used to say, ‘We’re just making memories.’”

Nicks says that she writes her tour experiences “in my journal every night,” adding, “These are memories that I’m making right now…that someday will go into a big art thing: book, poems, you know, the whole thing.” No word on when that project will materialize, but Stevie has completed a documentary about the making of In My Dreams which we should see by the end of the year.

I, for one, have lost most of my interest in this alleged documentary so...if and when it does arrive, I'll be really, really excited!

Okay, I know I have a dirty mind but did anyone else chuckle at this? Anyone?

Looks like it's gonna be 90 minutes long. (Cut from 3 hrs, originally 100 hours of footage)

There better be extra footage as a bonus on the DVD, maybe they cut it to 90 mins for a mini theatrical release and the DVD could have the 3 hours?

I wonder if they use the fan submission videos that we recorded it the DVD.I dont know why they could not fill the DVD up .A standard DVD is 2 hours. which is 4.7GB.
long play DVD will hold more like GavinBrown said.I'm glad there is news about it.

Hate to be a downer but for me it's very much an "I'll believe it when I see it" kind of thing by now. For Heaven's sake, Hollywood filmmakers don't take as long to get something to the screen as this. Filmed in 2010? Come on... what were they doing with it in 2011?! Stevie and Dave have messed us all around far too much with this with endless teasing. Either get the thing out for us to see or keep quiet. It all seems highly unprofessional. I will be excited to see it if/when it arrives but until then I'm being unnaturally skeptical.

I don't think Stevie has much to do with this. I think Dave Stewart might have too many pies in the oven. and I seem to remember some article about his having a proposed deal to do documentaries for theater showings? The Doc should have come out with the CD. What an amazing double package that would have been?? But you know we will get it whenever it comes out.. I just hate that they cut and past. I would be up for 100 uncut hours to while away the evenings..

Your firsts sentence is the main point at the main problem. Stevie should and could have a lot more to do with her own product,
