I don't know the cartoon, but it's funny you said that because I was just writing a list of things that Ann Curry should have said today, rather than that she couldn't carry the ball to the finish line. She should have said the ball was stolen, her shot was blocked, intercepted . . .

Cause you what, Stevie? Hang out together all the time, sitting on the bed and nothing could be easier than doing a few BN performances?

But I thought they bought the rights from him and that she once said that she and Lindsey wholly owned them now. In fact, I remember her talking about that same car owned by TWO people. So, this comment sounds like a step back in time to me.

No, it is Keith or KORE. That's why I said DLMDA to Keith.

But I also thought that Stevie and Lindsey bought his rights more than 10 years ago.

I really wish she would have finished that thought. The possibilities are endless - it will bother me for ages.

i don't think it matters. the way i read it is: the answer is yes, it's a definite possibility that they'll do a few shows.

we already know LB wants it, and now she said it too - that it's very possible.

frankly, i'm surprised, i though they might put BN CD out right before the FM tour, but do just the Mac tour to support it.

Oh, I know it doesn't really matter why - all that matters is that it would, in fact, be easy for them to do that.

Because of the Mac tour [which in light of this interview, is even more upsetting to me, because it seems BN was in fact more than just a pipe dream], I'm going to bet that if the fates align and any of this actually happens, they'll probably just do a show or two, probably in CA. A special event type thing in honor of the re-release. This could possibly be filmed and then released as a CD and DVD package, if we're lucky.

Hopefully I'm wrong and they could possibly squeeze in a handful of shows scattered about..... speaking of which, just in case the powers at be are reading this: Birmingham. Throwing that out there. They loved you. And it's only 4 hours from me so I could go and then my life would be complete.

Well, whether they put out a BN record or not, the rest of her sentence does matter to me. I live within the ellipses . . .

Has anyone posted this yet?

Stevie Nicks: Hopeful For 'Buckingham Nicks' Reissue

Stevie Nicks feels positive that 1973's Buckingham Nicks, the sole joint album with then-lover Lindsey Buckingham will see a release next year. The pair's pre-Fleetwood Mac album, which has never been released on CD, celebrates it's 40th anniversary next September. Over the years, Buckingham Nicks has gained a legion of die-hard fans, who have sought out pristine vinyl pressings of the Polydor release for major money. A 30th anniversary release was tentatively scheduled back in 2003, but never materialized.

It was the album's closing number, "Frozen Love" that gained Mick Fleetwood's attention while scouting Los Angeles' Sound City recording studio. The album's producer, Keith Olsen, played the track as a demonstration of the studio's capabilities and hooked Fleetwood who soon asked Buckingham -- and by extension -- Nicks to join Fleetwood Mac. Two of the Buckingham Nicks tracks would be included on future albums -- Nicks' "Crystal" found a home on Fleetwood Mac's 1975 self-titled collection and a live version of "Don't Let Me Down Again" was featured on 1980's Fleetwood Mac Live.

Stevie Nicks told us that plans are definitely underway to prep their first Buckingham Nicks release on CD: "This is, the coming up year is the 40 years. So, what we're thinking is we might do something to celebrate the 40 years thing and we're going to try and put the record out. The only reason why it hasn't come out is because it kinda belongs to three different people and it's like owning a car, a third of a car. And everybody has to be on the same page and nobody has ever been on the same page. So we're hoping this year people will get on the same page and we can put it out since this is it's 40th."

We asked her if there's any chance for a few Buckingham Nicks shows to promote the new set: "Very possibly! Very possibly! 'Cause we. . . that's easy. Yeah."

This is the part that's most intriguing to me. I have to guess that Keith Olsen is the third owner? We know he certainly has sour grapes about being shoved out of Stevie and Lindsey's careers... he lost out on countless millions. If he's been the hold out, he's going to get the short end of the stick yet again: interest in Stevie, Lindsey, and Fleetwood Mac has been squandered since the late 90s due to inactivity of the band. He possibly could have made a little bit of money had he coincided rerelease of Buckingham Nicks with Say You Will. But unfortunately the rerelease of Buckingham Nicks at this point will be like the proverbial tree falling in the forest.
