Arrow 2012 Fleetwood Mac Contest

Well it is time for a new Fleetwood Mac contest. In 2010, we did favorite Fleetwood Mac song, while last year we did least favorite song.

Here are the choices for the next contest. Vote for the one you would like to see done.

Choice A - Best of Christine, Lindsey, Stevie
This contest would take the best of both FM and solo songs for each performer and create an 18 song "Best of". For example, "The Best of Stevie Nicks, 18 songs chronicling her songs from 1973's Buckingham Nicks album through 2011's In Your Dreams." This would be done for each of the Rumours era vocalists.

Choice B - Favorite Non-Hit Song
This contest would remove the songs that are/were deemed hits and find the favorite song among the others.

Choice C - Favorite Live Performance
About 4 peformances for each song they peformed live would be eligible to determine the favorite live performance. Once each song has a favorite live performance, they will battle it out for Overall favorite Fleetwood Mac peformance.

Choice D - The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac: 18 Songs That Every Fleetwood Mac Fan Should Have
This would create an ultimate 1 disc best of Fleetwood Mac.

Due to the lack of participation from the Pre-Rumours Ledgies during last years contest, these contests would focus mainly on the Rumours/Post-Rumours era albums and songs.

Opinions or comments let me know!

although i think the non-hit idea might be interesting in general, i like separate best-of for each songwriter even better.

my reasoning: b/c of uneven numbers of fans for each songwriter among registered members on this board, i don't follow polls where songs from 3 songwriters are pitted against each other. in such polls, songs that are the most interesting to me tend to be eliminated fast.

We could split out the non-hit favorites for each songwriter separately.

18 is the perfect count.

That's how many tracks are on Say You Will.

As for solo best-ofs: I am a staunch believer in Singles collections. If there are too many singles, then I believe in establishing some sort of charting position ("Greatest Hits"). I totally hate random "best of" collections that have no basis in history or reality but instead are based on the arbitrary whim of some accountant at a record company.
