Why does the Ledge take so long to load?

Seriously, I'm on broadband and have to wait a few minutes for the index page, than another few minutes for whichever forum I click to load up..
I'm on many discussion forums and this is the only one in which this problem occurs...
Any suggestions???

Welcome to The Ledge, Gene.

I haven't personally had any problems with the site being slow, but it seems several people have been having the same problem you're having.

I wish I knew what was causing it, so I'd have an answer for everyone.
Whatever it is, hopefully it'll be worked out soon.
