Default Mick autographed wine for us

This was taken from a thread in Stevie's forum, but I figured I'd copy my little story and stick it here along w/ the photo:
******************************

Actually on this note of Mick knowing about our site, there's something I keep forgetting to mention: My brother in law worked for a hotel in NY, the hotel where Mick and partner etc stayed when they were in the city promoting Mick's wine (the Hyatt, was it? My BIL is somewhere else now.) My BIL- David Adelson-had a chance to speak w/ a guy in Mick's entourage, and told him "My brother and his wife run a big FM site--Marty Adelson, he runs The Penguin."

The guy perked right up. "The Penguin?! We love that website! We were just talking the other day about fan sites and that one was in the top three!" (I suppose this means 2 are better than us but I can handle that LOL, I know we don't update or market stuff as much as we could...and there are some other great sites out there.) So anyway the guy actually returned to my BIL later w/ a bottle of wine that Mick had signed-- "To Marty, from Mick Fleetwood." I should take a picture of it and show you guys, it's in a nice case in our kitchen above the computer, w/ some other FM stuff.

My BIL did meet Mick briefly, said he was a BIG guy, very imposing, strong handshake. So anyway I'd like to think that Mick knows who we are...?

And on the off chance that Mick reads this, the Adelsons say thanks for the wine.

No, there's a plastic shield in front of it.

Wow, that is so cool! I think that your brother in law in a sweet guy to do that for you. Very nice. I love wine, and I have been wanting a bottle of Mick's wine. I just can't find any around here. Maybe in Atlanta?

Lux, you know that at one time I did have multiple images of Robert on my walls (and wouldn't have minded having the actual guy sticky taped there either).

These days it's just FM. it's always odd explaining to people why we have pics of them in the kitchen/basement. Last weekend we had Benjamin's 5th bday party and one of the moms, of course, asked, "So who loves Fleetwood Mac?" Marty and I always look at each other like 'here we go'...

yeah we joked that he rarely does nice things for anybody, but he redeemed himself w/ that one. (But we love you dave )

We're not big wine drinkers, we're never actually gonna drink it...

Thumbs up

OMG, that is so nice.

I do drink wine occasionally, but, no, I wouldn't touch that bottle either!

I do wish he'd distribute some wine on the east coast; I'd love to try it.

Awesome! Now where can I get that framed F.M. group photo hanging next to the wine?

Cool!

Hey...does anyone have a high resolution jpg of that same photo that is immediately to the right of the bottle that they could post?

Talking Ditto to what Chilid asked!

I love that photo and would like to find a good quality of it as well.

That's way cool about your Bro-in-law getting that for you! I like your little setup for it too.

Thanks. FWIW I printed that photo off the internet on good quality paper, it's not like it's a 'real' photo. I wish it were....I LOVE that picture, from right when S and L joined...it's like all the chemistry is just brewing between the 5 of them, ready to explode upon the world. can I say again, I love that picture?

Isn't that picture included in one of the booklets for the 3 remastered Fleetwood Mac albums?
