Question Syw Tour

Question: Did they play "Sara" at any of the other shows? They scrapped "Gypsy" to play "Sara" and I was just wondering if anybody else was fortunate enough to have the same setlist. Although I REALLY wanted to hear "Gypsy"! Also, did Lindsey play a really soft, slowed-down version of NGBA? It is my favorite FM song, and although I really thought this version was very heart-felt and cute, I wanted the real version to dance to.
You could barely hear the guitar, and he barely even played it in this version. And he wispered half of the song.

Anybody want to share your experiences with these songs?

Amanda

Yes, on the second American tour (starting in May), Gypsy was permenantly scrapped from the setlist for Sara. As for NGBA, I always throught it sounded the same

Maybe he played NGBA that way since it was the last concert. He was wispering and almost talking instead of singing. The guitar was sparse and played very lightly. It didn't sound anything like the original.

Unfortunately SILVER SPRINGS was last played in Atlanta May 15 2004, and luckily I was at that show....it was an INCREDIBLE and feiry performance of the song...but I was sad to see it go.

The setlist was the same throughout the summer 2004 tour except the first couple of shows...The first show of the summer they played "Destiny Rules," and cut "Say You Will," and they also cut "Goodbye Baby" and played "Dont let me down again."

They kept "Destiny Rules" for a few days into the tour but quickly cut it and put SAY YOU WILL BACK, and GOODBYE BABY returned quickly as well

Did this song ever show up in the trading circle? I have long wanted to hear the mp3 of this performance of Silver Springs.

I seem to remember seeing it as part of a SS compilation at allthekingshorses. I didn't download it because the sound quality was pretty bad. However, that could have been the last bootleg version instead of the last live version.

As for my Sara memories, I was so excited to get to see and hear Sara live at my show. I was slightly disapointed to lose Gypsy, but the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away I guess LOL. Anyways, it was amazing and I think I just stared and her and how beautiful it all was the whole time - her singing with the Tusk fotage in the background. The people I was with knew I was waiting for this and they all looked at me and I was just in awe. Stevie had her hair up and looked great.

Anyways that's all I've got to share right now. I think I rambled on about it a lot in my review which can be found here: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=15232

I know that it wasn't posted there because that used to be my download site I haven't had the time to keep up with it.

The version that was posted there was from a live performance in the '70's, and, yes, the quality sucked unfortunately.

I loved the live version of NGBA all the way through the tour - I only saw one date in 2003 and two in 2004 (including the last show), but it was the same those three times, and the same on LIB. I loved the harmonies Stevie added to it.

Default Ngba

Never Going Back Again was one of my favorites on the Say You Will tour. It sounded the same at all of the shows I attended and I saw quite a few. (slightly addicted) The song really does not strike me as one that I would want to get up and dance too, even the album version. It tends to captivate me, especially Stevie's gorgeous harmonies.

That Atlanta performance of Silver Springs was pretty incredible. Stevie was fired up..as was LB. I missed it terribly after she dropped it.

Oops! I didn't realize. I thought there was a more recent live version though? I dunno I guess you'd remember

I think the "recent" one was from the time when LB finished the song for Stevie, but I think that was from The Dance Tour.
