Here's a link to the Mercury News review of the San Jose concert:
http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/6267250.htm The review is nasty not only towards Stevie but towards audience members as well. I'm a girl and I love to pump my fists just as much as any guy during long guitar solos. That's one of my favorite parts of the concert. Also, many guys love Stevie just as much as the girls. This reviewer does not know what the f*** he is talking about. ![]()

Eh, that was just a load of sexist garbage.
He doesn't get into Stevie, no biggie... but to say that her songs/performances appeal only to the women of the audience, and Lindsey's appeal only to the men, is a bunch of horse manure. All one has to do is look around these boards to see that just isn't so! But I guess we should have known this guy was off his beam when he said the Dixie Chicks' and Smashing Pumpkins' versions of "Landslide" overshadow Stevie's own. At any rate, perhaps Stevie just had an off night... I'll wait to see what other critics, and more importantly, fans, had to say about that. But so far, from all the live bootlegs I'm hearing, Stevie is in excellent voice, and is most definitely not throwing off the harmonies. These critics should be required to add a disclaimer to their reviews.... "Warning: I am not a Stevie Nicks fan, but I looove Lindsey Buckingham, and will review this band accordingly." Or, alternatively... "Warning: I have no appreciation for Lindsey Buckingham's guitar prowess, but I like Stevie Nicks, and I miss Christine McVie, so my review will reflect this." Ah well, in the long run, a review is just one person's opinion, so as long as everyone else in the stadium, or at least the majority of them, had a great time, then who cares. ![]()

I definitely disagree with the reviewer, it was a great show. Stevie was not having an off night at all, I've seen her something like 15 times, and I've been at performances where she was terrible vocally and otherwise-OSOTM, comes to mind, but I really thought she was into the show on Tuesday. She didnt drop down into a lower register like she has so many times in the past for the high notes, and she drew out some vocals. Even "Rhiannon"had more of a spark than it did for the Dance Tour. The guy that wrote the review obviously didnt like her. The crowd was great, and most people stayed to the last song. I'd say there were at least 10,000-12,000 fans there. It was a great show, and great audience.
