It makes for a really good tour ad, but for an album cover it leaves me a little underwhelmed.
I think it's the artist in me, that dislikes the fact that it's lopsided.
Stevie and the title dominate the top half, and then the guys dominate the bottom right... with emptiness in the bottom left.
(By the way, for anyone complaining... Stevie and Lindsey are the same size on the cover.)

Personally, I would have gone with this fan-pic, or one like it....

YES. "togetherness" instead of a montage that could have anybody in it. The cover just invites to do crappy photoshop-experiments with your own head. (or on Mick's: with someone you dislike )

i think it's really cheesy looking.

i never understand when FM puts out bad covers. they live in a city that has some of the most interesting graphic designers in the country - you'd think they could get it together to put an interesting cover on their new album - oh well. Say You Will was a decent cover, as was Tusk, Rumours, FM, and Live. The rest were just sub-par.

Really? Lucky us! lol I'm comparing Donne's definition of the feminine soul in "Metempsychosis" to his definition of the soul in the Anniversaries when speaking of Elizabeth Drury. Wish me luck!

P.S. Sorry for getting off-topic, guys. For the record, I'm unimpressed with the cover. Lindsey looks terrible. There are much hotter pics of him in the tourbook, like this one:

We sure are some lucky ducklings! I had to write about how "The Flea" related to the views of sexuality during the period in which it was written. Big surprise the theme of the poem (taking a young girls virginity) was rather risque at the time.

Now that I've had time to digest this cover, here are my thoughts:

• That sun (or light) is VERY ridiculous looking. I mean, it sticks out like a sore thumb. However, it's not as cheesy as in the SYW liner notes. But it's still tacky as all hell.
• The pictures are awful quality. They're blurry and look low-res. You really can't see Stevie or Lindsey's face, either. And I think the pictures themselves are unflattering.
• Let Prince do the purple.
• The logos are way, way cheesy.
• Ditto what everyone else said: it looks like something a bootlegger came up with in twelve minutes.
• I seriously think that they gave Chris Nicks free reign on the design.
